Just a few questions...
1. If I get a map off the internet do I have to resign them or encrypt them? Or will it already be resigned/encrypted?
2.Im just asking questions, havnt even done this yet. But anyway does resign mean to change the map? Or is there a seperate program to change the map?
3. Any good race track maps anywere?
4. If I have played Halo 2, will it be copied to the hard drive or will you have to do it myself with xxteakxx tut?
5. Were would I create a game folder to if I have to create one? Also how will I know if I have to create one?
6. On the last picture on your tutorial, (it says "Then you are going to need to locate the E:/TDATA/4d530064/$u folder and rename all three of the items like so") What do I rename the folders, just so I dont mess up with the names.
7. The Value and Next Value thing. When I randomly pick a number, how will I no that it works or if the Value is used by a map already on Halo 2?
8. Will I be able to play Campaign after all this? Or will it mess up my Xbox?
Thanks If you can answer all these questions!

1. They will usually be resigned/encrypted, but you should do it just in case they didn't.
2. Resigning means to change the map's signature back to normal, it will not change the map. It will only make it load.
3. I would probably google for those.
4. I have to admit, after the long period of time that my tutorial was posted, most of my pictures have become disabled, but you will have to follow a tutorial to do that.
5. Create one in your E drive if there is not one there.
7. You can rename them anything you want to. You could just put a 2 in front of each name if you want. As long as you change the name somehow.
8. You can still play campaign off your disc not off your hard drive.

You could use DVD2xbox, you could manually copy using your halo 2 disc and your modded dashboard, or you can FTP copy.
My best bet would just be to check the values of the other maps just to be sure you didn't pick the same one.
I'm saying that you can still play campaign off your halo 2 game, but you can't play it off your HD.
You should only apply those patches if you want the map modded.

You would have to find a program called superppf (google it) then put the patch file in the patch slot and a non-modded copy of the map you're patching in the source map slot. You would then click apply patch. You need to resign the map after you're done patching.

My Xbox is now softmodded! Ya! Now I gotta find a crossovercable...
Okay now that it is modded how would I play it off the disk? And if these are going to the hard drive how do I play the maps off the hard drive? So how do you play off the disk and off the hard drive?
Also how do I manually copy Halo 2 to my Hard Drive?
Does applying SPPF patches change the regular map into a modded map?
Finally, If I follow this tut to put it on the main menu will I need apply the SPPF patch?

Okay from my last post I found out how to add Halo 2 to my Xbox Hard Drive.
So I found out playing off the disk means just putting the disk in the Xbox and playing it.
To play it off the hard drive I have to go to my Modded Dashboard and play it from there right?

.Sppf's are usually mods so if one is applied to a map then it should be modded and then you would have to resign it if it's a new map and fix its encryption if it's an old map.
If you have the stock Xbox harddrive and you put only the Halo 2 multiplayer maps and you choose the campaign, you will probably get an error that says 'Your disc may be dirty or damaged' and then you can just restart your Xbox.
Once Halo 2 is on your Xbox harddrive you play through your modded dashboard.

With this tutorial, you just learn how to added a map to the mainmenu.

Well if you are adding a map, most likely it's modded. There isn't really a reason to add a unmodded map. But you do not need to apply a .sppf for it to show up on the mainmenu.
Adding a 2 will work.
Also the only way I know of to find values that work are too just guess and check.

Well we have talked about that before and as of right now I know of four reasons why your maps won't load:
1) It's corrupted because you modded it in a way so that it's unplayable.
2) You forgot to resign(new maps) or fix the encryption(old maps) of the map you are adding.
3) You screwed up when hex editing the map name.
4) You chose values for the map you were adding that didn't work. You may need to play around with these some more.
