Hey hex, whats up bro? Seems your the man in the psp forums, keep up the good work:)

@s3a

I meant with your current knowledge, there is pretty much no way in hell you should attempt to fix your psp. Listen to hex, he knows his stuff. If your mobo is truely fried, take to a professional, get it fixed. And I highly doubt anybody would buy your psp $140 canadian, i got my 1.5 on Ebay for $155, and it works flawlessly.

If I can learn to fix my mobo, I don't care if I have to study for 2 months to do it! Show me how! Plz!

If I insult you...don't get offended...my insults are "friendly insults"...I know this sounds stupid (ridiculous) but I am fet up of writing, "no offense" in my posts...

@SVT
not much bro trying to help out as much as possible. sorry i dont post at XS anymore. something really really dumb happened there....but, dude that is such an awesome compliment coming from you. that like made my week :).

@s3a
90 percent or more of a chance your mobo is fried. water and electricity NEVER mix unless your an electric eel. And those suck big time. Your best chance is trying to get the most out of it possible (82 CAD at the most) and buying a new/used psp.

EDIT:
There is no fixing a fried mobo except for buying a new one. and they are like 50 bux short of getting a different psp that works.

But can someone still teach me to fix it? If that 10% chance is on my side, it will work! If not, I will apply more things to my knowledge (which is something I want to do)!

ok the ten percent chance is wishful thinking. if it doesnt boot after dropping in water its not going to boot unless you pay for extensive repairs which will cost you more then buying one that works. there is no fixing a fried mobo. fried is fried and there is no turning back. buying a working mobo is quite expensive. sell it and take the money u get and put it towards buying a new one. your BEST bet.

Ok..so...can I atleast check to see what parts are fried? In other words, is the mobo, the only thing that is fried?
*edit*
Hey! Wait a minute! Again! The rounaround (or atleast thats what I feel)! The extensive repairs part...that means long and very not worth wasting the time process, right? Well, I have the time! It's summer! Bottom line...I will try to sell but let me try to fix it first!!! Please understand me! I need every penny for my school!! To make money for PSP fixing will take me time because I can only afford to spend a percentage of the money I earn!

OK like i said earlier. its almost certain you fried your mobo. but there is other things you could have fried also as the mobo isnt the only thing that make the PSP possible and also run. best bet once again is selling it as a broken unit and using the money towards a new one for you.

I wanna know what else is fried because if someone buys a brocken psp, that person will need to know what is not fried so that I can make more money!

To be honest there is no way to tell. You would have to disassemble it and test each part individually. Just mention of the website that it has been dropped in some water and if the LCD isnt cracked you'll get at minimum 50 Dollars USD.

LCD is not cracked, light switch works, it has a screen protector...
Will the fact that it is a 1.5 allow me to sale for more $? I ask because there are people with 2.70+ psp's or ppl who dont wanna risk getting a 2.70+ psp that I think would add more $ for this sole purpose...I am fine with even a 2.8, I have patience for a downgrader to come...

P.S.
I am kissing my PSP's a$$...in other words, no scratches whatsoever or no physical damage...how much should that sell for?

Wow you are witty, wish i had such skill......wait........no i dont! Give hex credit for putting up with it, since nobody else will. If you want to be a smart ass with weak humor, thats cool, just go somewhere else. s3a knows the deal, so let it be.

EDIT - I cant spell :/

My adrenaline weared off...I am now calm. Ps pee sounds funny but still its not funny to me that I have to do something about it. I found someone who is selling 5 psp games, a psp, with screen protector, 1gb and 32 mb cards which are brand new (if they are not, they must be in good condition for him to lie about it being brand new). The psp's firmware version is 2.0! He looked stupid, because, he said, he got it for a present and he's leaving [the area I live in] so he needs to sell it...so....I offered $150 canadian, hopefully he accepts...this may sound funny but I told him I will pass out fliers, fix his comp, or anything like that instead of giving extra money. Does anyone think it will work? And what if I send my PSP to sony? They will charge how much for fried mobo? Will they fix it or replace it (the mobo)?

P.S.
Thanks everyone especially hexitnow for putting up with my adrenaline rush with patience. I still think I'd rather give it to sony (if it wont cost much) and tell them it just happened like that, I won't mention water. Will they replace it for very cheap? One thing I cannot understand even if it got answered so many times is: Is there a 10% possibility for me to fix it myself? Because I want to take that "opputunity". I have strong willpower, trust me.

P.S. #2
Thank god there was no sh*t in the bathroom when it fell...

well you always take it apart and reassemble it but thats doubtful it would help. best bet is either selling it as a broken psp and getting a new one or sending it to sony. i think its like 80 bux USD for that.

Been reading the post soz but did find it funny why would you be playing it in the bathroom in the first place these gadgets don't come cheap.Like the guys said if it's fried your better off getting a secondhand one as it will probaly cost u just as much to repair or maybe try these if not already taking out battery and just using the ac or opening the disc tray and try drying out with a hair dryer just a thought...if your lucky enough it might work it sometimes does on mobiles after they a've been for a swim..Good luck.

I don't care if it is a 2.80, all I care is that it is a PSP that works! Besides, a downgrader will be made, not to mention I can play my original UMD's until I can use ISO's again!

P.S.
Anyone with a 2.70+ psp wanna trade? I still have SOME working parts in my PSP (not to mention IT IS A 1.5)...
