I bought it in december 2005
If I insult you...don't get offended...my insults are "friendly insults"...I know this sounds stupid (ridiculous) but I am fet up of writing, "no offense" in my posts...

OMG!!!!! I found the receipt!!!!!!!! I bought this in December 2005...so it is 1 year warranty??!! If it is...what do I do??!!

ipods are already somewhat gaming devices with the hacks for them. call sony to discuss what to do.

SOMEWHAT! I want them to be better than psp's! (in terms of gfx) Here is what I have in mind:
Make it look just like the ipod video 30 gb BUT with a huge screen (size of the psp's) in the back of the ipod...and underneath the ipod a little connector to plug a "holder" for example on a gba sp they had these things to put them on to make them comfortable to play, by making it longer sideways...well just that for the ipod...I say all this because, they are teaming up with NVIDIA.
So...think of it...amazing graphics, huge hdd, small size...it has it all! If only apple would listen to me! I will post it on the official apple website!
P.S.
Can someone tell me sony's number? Is my warranty 1 year? And if I lie and say that it just stopped working while listening to music, will they believe me?

I think SONY will repair it 4 free but will upgrade it to 2.80.

that will be messed up if they do but the do repair it for free or replace they replaced mine from a 1.5 to 2.0 but i jus downgraded it bac to 1.5

No I won't ask for 1.5, I am pushing it enough as it is. I will just get my 2.80 and wait for a new downgrader. It will come. It is just a matter of time. You never know they might replace it with a 1.50! BUT I have a question...I downgraded to 1.50, so...if I give them my PSP, can they see that I downgraded it? Or will they just think I never upgraded it?

Just give it to $ony...your MS will be just fine...anyways try using it with a card reader or put it in another Pro Duo compatible device and connect via USB to see if your files are still on it.

All i am saying is that you have enough info from this thread to do something, so do it!! Your psp isnt going to fix itself, so take some action, and see what the problem is. After you get it looked at, comeback with the REAL PROBLEM, then all the nice folks here will help you out. But for now, nothing is being accomplished, just going in circles.

I am sending it to Sony but I need to know their phone number! I also need to know, will sony notice the stains of water inside the psp if I send it? I will clean the stains on the umd door but I can't see inside! So...before I send it (which will be my only chance) I need to make sure that every single thing is "good looking". As for going in circles, this is the end of the road with the last decisions needing to be made.

first please tell me u didnt open the psp which u had to take the warranty sticker off nd now be in void nd the number for sony should be on the website now please test it out for all of us til u come bac with a serious question

Im not sure but i heard when you send an ipod in for repair they will give you a different refurbished one in exchange(thats why they say all data may be deleted for testing). I dont know if it is the same for PSP though.

like the new sig jared thats for the playstation console itself the psp is 1 year so u still got about 4 months nd i think u gotta either send it or dropped it off somewhere they will tell u wat to do when u call

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My PSP just started working! Just like that! Out of nowhere!!!!! BUT I don't know if this is psychological but my mem stick reads slower than normal...but it still works! And I also have to take off the screen protector and put it back on again...
If there is any way to make the mem stick read normal again tell me...or if it is in my mind just tell me aswell.
P.S.
If I were to send my PSP to Sony, they would just send it back to me...lol! Glad I didn't! I still have my warranty! When my warranty is over, I MIGHT open up my PSP to fix the square button which gets pressed in a weird way. Not only on my PSP but on almost all of them!
Anyway...am I the only one amazed here?

lol gd 4 u, i love it wen that happens your console is just buggered then out of the blue its fixed! and dont take it apart coz of the square button it happens with my psp aswell it gets pressed strange. Maybe open it up just to give it a quick blow clean lol
