HI there

I have been using shrink for 3 weeks now and using Decryptor to get the image and doing the shrink with SHRINK and burning with Nero

Everything was working just fine until yesterday when I was trying to backup a music CD which I know is not protected because its been backed up before.

It was loaded and all the info was on Shrink and when I press backup, the windows hour glass starts working and after about 15 seconds closes out by iteself.

I have tried uninstalling installing, both Nero and shrink and even my burner but it still does this any ideas???

HELP

Hi gcsmith
Don't think shrink does music cd's. Probably why it is closing down.

Just use Nero - burning rom or express and do a copy to copy.

Hi Alan31
Shrink can't handle Inside Man by itself.
Rip with DVDFab Decrypter (free) than open those files in Shrink and process as usual.
For extra protection after ripping w/ fab decrypter run thru vobblanker than open those files in shrink. Here's a guide w/ links:

Or have AnyDVD running in the background w/ Shrink - not free but has a 21 day free trial. http://slysoft.com

@gcsmith
Ok - have you tried uninstalling reinstaliin Shrink?
Is this the only dvd it does it on or is it all now?

@ironaid
Which movie are you doing? This is one of the things Shrink may do if it can't handle the copy protection.

You can rip w/ DVD Fab Decrypter than open those files in Shrink.

OKAY
DVD Shrink will read the files and analize it, BUT when I push the "backup Button", the windows hour glass icon goes and goes for about 20 seconds then DVD Shrink disappears from the screen.

I have uninstalled it and re installed in 10 times over, even took out my DVD and out it back in, but there has ot be some registry files or theres something wrong with DVD Shrink,,,,I am not the only one with this problem

And yes its with all the backups not just this one.

1 week ago it was working perfectly and then now,,,NADA

STUMPED
I think I will just buy a dvd copier all in one machine,,,,do they work or??

Ok gcsmith
Have you run a registry cleaner? Here's a good free one that may help if you need one:
http://ccleaner.com

Do a disc cleanup and a system defrag if you haven't very recently.

Anything change pc wise since shrink started acting up?

@Alan31
You're welcome - glad to hear it worked for you.
