Cel-Shaded Link would be the version of the character used in 'The Windwaker', very cartoonish, different version of the character, although not 'truly' link. Not a bad idea though.
And as for your criticism of Tom Nook as a character. I stand completely against you on that. You decry him for having never been in a fighting game before. Honestly, how many of these characters have been, aside from previous Smash Bros titles? It's ridiculous that you even go into that. Kirby? Kirby never punched and kicked before SSB. And he's just one character. Why would Tom Nook be any *less* capable of being used in this way? It's not like they haven't made further stretches for characters before, and it's created some VERY amusing results.
The fact that you would criticize a character, because it's never taken that kind of role before shows that you have very little creativity in mind. The games have never been about trying to lock in the 'cool' factor, they go for the 'fun', and more often than not, that involves a deep-rooted sense of humor. I think Tom would be a fine addition to the team. What could be more amusing than watching a player assume the role of Tom Nook in his apron, and kicking the butt of someone else playing as Samus(In the armor-suit, of course). The image of Tom Nook giving Samus a flying upper kick to the face(Again in the normal armor-suit), and knocking her out of the ring is hysterical. I think it would be great.

there are still people who like mewtwo roy marth dr mario etc so why kick out if you hate them then dont play as them obviosly and ive wondered what new stages they could have i was thinking...

Uh..that isn't really what i meant....
ok....let me explain this whole thing....
Uh...if you havent noticed in SSBM, the fire roll (Run + A) is from fire kirby, Brick (Down + B) is from Stone Kirby, the hammer (Smash B/ Jump Smash B) is from Hammer Kirby, Final Cutter (Up + B) is from Cutter Kirby, which leaves the fighting attacks from Kirby from Fighter Kirby. Of course, I know all this stuff because Im a kirby master. I watched the cartoon episodes and know all his combos. (Cutter, ice, fire, stone, hammer,fighter, wheel, water, etc.)
Plus, I was pointing out that, as i said before, "Tom Nook wouldn't be a great character in SSBB because he's never been in any fighting games before.
If youve played any kirby games, u may notice he may not punch or anything, but that's all from Fighter Kirby. As said above.(

i agree with handsom i mean even Mr.game and watch got in and hes never fought in his life and same with dr mario( well even though he had to copy marios ablitys)
and same with fox in super smash bros 1 he never ever got out of his ship (at that time) and they were still able to give him awesome movesso dont go jufging characters and youshi never fougt either( well hand to hand anyways ) see theres lots of character swho made it in!

ya exaxtly to what handson said. i mean the queston was "wish" adn that is who i think would be fun to be in SSB. Fist Jigglypuff has a bad move set im my oppnion and dr. mario is mario basiclly, and i dont care for roy marth and mewtwo.

well yeah but still tom nook could make it even olimar because he kinda punches when he does his pow pow POW punch and he could throw pikmin at you ansd stuff XD

jigglypuffs my best character what do you mean? and tom nook could fight i mean if you think about it mario in his games he could only do his punch punch kick thing, and the cape, jump and kik dash so he would have been tough oh and just a random note ive found a glitch in melee but you need fox falco anyone and peach its caled the black hole glitch all you have to do is get everyone n hyrule put fox on the little block of building next to the tunnel thing then put falco on the bottom of the top thing ( justkinda like the part where you appear then get super scope first have fox punch you while you are shooting a super scope ( i dont know the timing so it might not work as much as you want in other words it might not work)then check if its unlimited then put fox and falco on the places i said before then soot the super scope at falco which will bounce of foxs thing and tthen keep it going on untill all those green balls are n the super scope bounce-back thingswhen things are slowing down then have peach throw lots of turmnips in the area of the bounce back area then theyl float therer and when everythings normal try juumping in to the turnips XD

i stink w/ jigglepuff thats the resone i think he should be out but i did not think he was good at all i dont really like his moveset. But if u do then great 4 u. also that is sweet the glitch.

Well...the reason I don't want Jiggly,Mewywo, Roy, and the others are because they got moves of their own and well....Im good with them! Especially Jigglypuff. Jigglypuff's got the highest KO's in my game (Around 4000) XD.
My top five best characters are (Total KO's in my game too):
1) Jigglypuff (4043 KO's)
2) Kirby (3987 KO's)
3) Bowser (3912 KO's)
4) Ganondorf (3866 KO's)
5) Donkey Kong (3667 KO's)

Uhhg..my parents will never let me buy the Wii :(
My parents already got sort of mad when I got the gamecube!
Now the Wii is like..triple of the Gamecubes price...
Not to mention the extra stuff like the nunchuk, (classic controller), and the games!

When did you get the Cube? The Wii is only 50 dollars more than the gamecube was at launch. And the games are pretty much priced the same way too.

I still think Tom Nook would ruin the whole game...
Anyways...why do people want characters to be out?
Don't we all want as many characters there can be in the game? Sheesh...
And just because your bad at a character, doesn't mean he or she should be out. You may stink at the character but others may be the best with him.
I say all the characters from Melee should be in Brawl.
All the characters from SSB made it to SSBM and all those in SSBM should be back in SSBB.

-saria (from ocarina of time)
-and zero (from mega man)
that would be cool

its about time someone posted another comment. anyways...megaman isn't nintendo...same with sonic. banjo kazooie probably wont make it because it was once owned by nintendo but microsoft bought it so now its not nintendo.
Note: Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie was on the N64.
Banjo Threeie will be on the Xbox 360.
And about Saria...thats a definite NO.
I don't know about the Mii people but...doesn't look like a good choice.
Goombas...wow...nice pick. In SSBM, they got their ***** kicked just by jumping on their heads...come to think of it...in every game that has goombas in it...all u need to do IS stomp on their heads (Super Mario Bros., Super Mario 64, SSBM, etc.) Goombas are pathetically weak but although a popular enemy. If goombas are in the game...you'd lose a life by being jumped on. lol.

Eh...I'm just saying that goombas are a bad choice because well...in most games...all they do is walk around ready to get stomped on. lol. not much to them. I don't think there are many attacks available to that character.
