Hi,
I have been using DVD Shrink for a while now. But, recently it does not copy the dvds that are dual layers. The copying process starts & then halts after a while giving the error "DVD shrink cannot further copy... cycle redundency.. blah..blah"
This happens only to those dvds that nowadays have dual layered movies in them.
Please advise / assist.
Thanks,
Sandy.

One of the methods in my post above should get you sorted...the easiest would be DVDFab Decrypter and VobBlanker.

hello sorta_guy,
Like LOCO said in his first post DVD Shrink cant handle the new protections on the newer DVDs,
What movies r u trying to copy?
So to fix this u have to use other programs(First) before u can use shrink, programs that are listed in LOCO's post.
Or if u only want to use shrink then u can buy AnyDVD which will allow u to use shrink, there is a free trial period for it.
heres link for AnyDVD (free 21 day trial)

Try reauthor mode instead of Full Disc.

It depends on which method you are using...I gave you 2 methods to rip your disc to your HDD. If you are ripping using RipIt4Me, then FixVTS is included in the process and should be pretty automatic, the guide(s) show you how to backup your movie from start (ripping to HDD) to finish (burning a nice shiney new DVD). If you are using DVDFab and VobBlanker you won't even need FixVTS. Please read the guides, this is really simple stuff.

Thanks loco.. really appreciate your help. I know that its like 'reinventing' the wheel.. but its fun to learn new things. :)
I will try the DVDFab and VobBlanker approach on ur guide.. it looks simple.
Will post any issues I face.
Thanks again.

Arrg.. sorry.. I did run the dvd thru DVDFab and then processed the files with VobBlanker.
Now do I scan the updated dvd files (that are now in the C drive) thru DVD Shrink so as to create an image file that can be burned in dvd??
Thx,
S
