psp>2.71<2.00<1.50<1.00<2.71<2.00<1.5

Who you calling a NOOB I've had my first psp for over a year and the second one for about 6 months. The second only cost me £10 because it was dropped and I fixed it within minutes. Quote: I am gutted that I have bricked them and yes I hold my hands up yo it
I didn't realise that it was a faulty memory stick. All the operations seem to go thru fine until I rebooted them after the writing of the data file to the flash chip.
noobs r ppl who are new to something and haven't a clue about whats going on right.
I have been follwing the homebrew seen since it started on the 1.0 psp's and have run just about every application there is out there Sucsessfully

I've got someone already lied up to insatll a modchip and to reflash the nand then to remove the chip again. 1 chip will unbrick both these psp and for much cheaper than a motherboard will cost.

it's about $106 for the 2 to be unbricked, plus say $15 to $20 for the postage.

well, i have a bricking incident..kinda. one of my friends decided to downgrade another friend of mine's psp. it was a 2.71 then 1.50, then upgraded to 3.02 oe-b. he then told me to try and fix it and i said sure alright but then i came home, several hrs later i tried to fix it. i realized that the Recovery mode cant be loaded and the bsod keeps showing up.. so now, i have my friend's bricked psp, my friend thinking that he can still unbrick it by adding the systemctrl.prx back to the psp...

I haven't bricked a psp system yet,but I do feel sorry for those that have bricked psp systems.I do think it is a little odd that to downgrade the psp you have to run the downgrader off the psp system.I think the best method would be making a program that ran off the computer, and accesses the nand memory on the psp through the data transfer slot.I know how difficult that would be to make, but just saying you could unbrick a psp or flash as many times as you want.If you think about it,if you set it up the way I am describing you would be creating a programmer for the nand memory chip. You could erase a bad flash, then reflash a new firmware to it.I don't think we will see anything like that anytime soon, and if one does exist that I don't know about I bet it isn't cheap.I bet alot information can be learned from pda handheld devices as well that would benefit the psp.I don't know I just thought that would be something interesting to bring up.

I have bought a psp for playing after my final exams yesterday. It was 1.50 and when I came home I have decided to upgrade it to 3.02oe-A. But after the installation had completed it said "Reset manuelly". I have restarted but that was the last time I have seen the screen working. I am sure I have done all the steps correct but it is bricked. I don't know what to do :( I am from Turkey and here no one sells motherboards or modchips. Also I don't know how to use these parts on my psp. Anyone can help about using :(

How do you plan on adding the systemctrl.prx back to the psp if you can't get past the bsod and have no recovery menu. DID YOU UPDATE TO 3.02 oe-a before trying to load 3.02 oe-b update ?

I heard the if you put them in the microware for excatly 20 seconds this also unbricks them. A mate of mine did this and he said after 20 seconds he took it out and and whola 3.03 oe-b was running on it. Anymore than 20 seconds tho you will have 3.03 sony firmware so be carefull.

Can you get into recovery menu (HOLD R WHILE POWERING ON THE PSP)?
Is the memory stick light flashing or not ?

I can not get into the recovery menu. Nothing happens if I push R while starting. And also memorystick light is flashing. İt seems working but there is nothing on the screen. I guess I will buy a modchip, that seems to be the cheapest solution..
