If the memory stick light is flashing then it's only a semi brick. there is a way of sort this without a modchip. the psp is looking for something on the memory stick.

Yay! I get to be apart of this thread. I bricked my psp, because I went ahead and used the 2.80 ta-082 downgrader, even though the total size of all the files was incorrect. The size needs to be exactly as stated in the readme.
Ta-082 2.6 > 2.71 > 2.5 > 2.6 > 2.8 > Brick > 2.6
> 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.52 M33 > 3.71 M33 > 3.80 M33 > 3.90 M33-3 > 4.01 M33-2

How do you plan on adding the systemctrl.prx back to the psp if you can't get past the bsod and have no recovery menu. DID YOU UPDATE TO 3.02 oe-a before trying to load 3.02 oe-b update ?
i never said i was going to do it, all i said is that my friends wants to add the systemctrl.prx to fix it and yes i know you cant access s**t on the psp if its bricked, but atleast now i know how he bricked it, he told me that he downgraded to 1.50 and it bricked after the downgrade (must of done something wrong here or it was a faulty downgrader). now i know not to let my friend touch my psp lol. but no, i didnt do anything except trying to confirm if he really bricked it.

I heard the if you put them in the microware for excatly 20 seconds this also unbricks them. A mate of mine did this and he said after 20 seconds he took it out and and whola 3.03 oe-b was running on it. Anymore than 20 seconds tho you will have 3.03 sony firmware so be carefull.
ALWAYS READ THE README THAT COMES WITH THE PROGRAM
it's true... it's confirmed on wikipedia[/quote]
rofl....no seriously tho if ppl want to buy bricked psps whats that tell you ppl?
firmware 2.71(ta o82 mobo) >1.5 > 3.20oe-a > 3.2 oe-b >

i dont see why bricking is such a huge problem
when u buy a psp downgrade rite away, if it bricks exchange for a new one
or if u already have a psp and u bricked it buy another psp and do a switcheroo =D then return it saying its defective or wutever
im pretty sure its wut everyone that buys bricked psp do
...make sure u buy from a store that has a good return policy xD

I think I bricked my psp using kealvalro's easy downgrader from 2.71 TA-082 to 1.5. It got bricked at the downgrade part. Now my psp only has green light and blank screen but the psp does not shuts off. Does anyone has any suggestions? Thanks.
