What progam(s) did you use to get the DVD onto your HDD? Is your firmware up to date and what brand media are you using?

If AnyDVD doesn't work for you, there are other methods you can try. The first method is using DVDFab Decrypter and VobBlanker.

STEP 1: Rip the DVD using DVDFAB Decrypter.
STEP 2: Process the VIDEO_TS.IFO file you got from DVDFab Decrypter through VobBlanker.
The rest should be simple. Just run DVD Shrink or Nero Recode and open the files you got from VobBlanker.

Another method you can try is the RipIt4Me method. Here is a guide to help you:
http://www.ripit4me.org/guide.html

If none of this works for you, then chances are you have a bad press or your disc is damaged somehow and you'll have to get another original.

Hi all. I've also had problems with backing up "When a stranger calls" using AnyDVD 6.0.8.0. I uninstalled it and re-installed vers. 6.0.7.0 Thereafter I had success using CloneDVD2 along with this version of AnyDVD. I subsequently tried to back up "Freedomland" and was then unsuccessful. Uninstaling AnyDVD 6.0.7.0 and re-installing vers. 6.0.8.0 solved the problem. It appears that as AnyDVD is updated, the older versions of the Sony Arccos are not supported correctly. So my advice would be to try different earlier versions of AnyDVD should some (especially Sony Pictures titles) give problems.
