you can install the modchip but that costs 100 bux. and if youre not an expert solderer it will cost another 100 to install it. so for that price u could buy a new psp.

try using harley g's custom firmware in recovery mode i heard that can unbrick your psp but im not sure whether you had to have it installed before you bricked your psp

it has to be installed before the bricking happens. you cant install anything on a psp once its been bricked unless you have U.P. modchip installed.

ok i just got a 2.71 easy downgrader but its an exe file by xtrusion...is that the one which is the easy dowgrader? and apart from that. uhm it sais to wait 5 min after the red screen but i dont think i have to wait so long how much do u think

its 2.71 downgrader lite and it doesnt have a downdater folder plus i m not sure it is bugfixed v i know the downgrader lite was released after the bug fixation but i dont think it is bug fixed so i will never take that risk so u shud go for the normal downgrader 2.71 bug fixed

EDIT btw i just downloaded that and it doesnt have a downdater folder it has a 1.5 helper folder... the one i had b4 had the downdater but as i already deleted...which should i get and how do i use this one

u can download the bug fixed downdater frm psp-hacks it was not specified bug fixed so i thought i will go for this one so no risks and for downdtaer u can download any 2.71 downdater frm psp-hacks u will get then use this downdater as this is of qj.net

dont u get me man im telling u when i open this downgrader theres a file called 271downdater i open and i see mx root and 1.5 helper and 2 reedme after that i go to ms root and i see psp and h.bin i open the 1.5 helper and i see downdater and downdater % what am i suppose to do cause the files are not the same as ur tut

why not just use http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/755 its all ready to go and its got the bug fix :) easy i used it to downgrade and it was sweet as and i waited 30 seconds i counted 30 seconds to be honest lol before i turnd my psp off

yeah it includes all necessary files for it to work, copies them to your psp, and walks u thru the process on your computer while its taking place on the psp.
