I was trying to copy a disney GloryRd with shrink and shrink reported a copy protect and bad crc any suggestions

Glory Road has new encryption on it that Shrink alone can't break. That was the movie that sent me looking for new software myself. Before that, it was Madagascar. I never got here though so I just gave up. If you're looking to spend money, you can always go to slysoft.com and buy their software combo which is AnyDVD and CloneDVD2. Or you can try RipIt4Me. It takes a bit longer, but it works effectively. Here's a reference guide by arniebear with all the links you'll need.

hey guys, i'm a newbie to, i gave up on doing alot of movies. but then i came across this forum, and alot of people have helped me and hopefully i can help someone else. well i haven't had any problems using this combo. DVDFab eliminate some protection codes. Then I use DVDShrink to compress the file so it can fit onto a DVD, then I use DVDSanta to burn (but i heard there are way better burning programs) but since these combos haven't failed me, no reason to use something else. if you have problems using these programs feel free to ask and i'll TRY to help like i said i'm also a newbie. I've also heard that if this process doesn't work, after using DVDFab use the VOBlanker, then run in through shrink and so on. I've never had to use this program, but there are people that do. Hope this helps
