i use DVDFab, then through Srhink and burn the ISO with decryper
all the tutorials i read talk about how fast this is but here's the deal
First i reboot adn turn off every program that's running in the tray
but when i run DVDFab.. the "complete disk" is checked and it seems to take 30-40 minutes to copy... since i'm just burning the main title can i uncheck "complete disk" and get it any faster?
Also when i send it to shrink to create the ISO to be burned with Decrypter it takes about 20 minutes to analyze and about another 20 to encode..is this normal? adn will turning off the "preview" speed it up any?
the burn is fairly fast so i ahve no problerms there but the rest of the steps seem to take way longer than most of you report
My Pc has 1.6 Ghz AMD Athlon 2000+, 768 megs of ram, 80 Gig HD.. adn my reader and burner are the same it's an LG GSA 4167B ( DL capable, but i use single layer and burn at 4x)

@fiddy
With the specs from your sytem, I would say it's normal. My system is a bit old, but she still cranks (P4, 2.66GHz, 1GB RAM) and DVDFAB Decrypter takes anywhere 12 - 18 minutes to rip, DVD Shrink is anywhere from 25 - 50 (depends on how big is the movie, i.e. compressions). Nero Recode 2 (anywhere from 22 - 45 mins) is much faster than DVD Shrink. I highly recommend you to use Nero Recode if you have Nero. However, the choice is yours.
