Hi mmitsch
Looks like you covered here:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/395702

Best to keep it to one thread - so much less confusing (looks like your using another pc now). Plus forum rules.
Post the new results in the thread above.

I'll request this one closed.

mmitsch,

The only problem I'm seeing in the log file is with your choice of media.

As shown here in the Media Specific field:

Media Specific [16..63]:
00 60 00 10 20 30 40 50 - 00 00 00 21 00 00 00 00 .`...0@P...!....
00 02 FE 10 00 02 FF A0 - 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 - 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................

The right most area is blank (.`...0@P...!.... ), it should be filled with info about the media you're using. This means that the burner is unable to correctly recognize the disks and tries to apply a generic write strategy, but it's unsuccessful.

Here:
Recorder: <MAD DOG MD-16XDVD9> Version: 2.FA - HA 1 TA 3 - 7.2.7.0

This shows that the burners firmware is upto date at version 2.FA, so it's trying to do the best it can with the software that's installed. Since an update is unavailable, your going to have to try a different brand of media as suggested to you in a earlier post of yours.

Try sony DVD+Rs, verbatim, or Taiyo yuden (look for made in japan). Switching media and burning at 4x speed is the solution I see to the problem.

Cheers,
John.
