Dvdshrink 3.2.0.15 is the one final version & works well with AnyDVD running in the background. Why would you need another version?

Unless I am mistaken the same person who did Shrink now works on Nero Recode, so shrink may not be updated.

See the related forum topics listed below these threads, there's a couple of reasons in there not all of them will be to do with Shrink, but some are.
Mr Shrink did go to Nero but Nero seems to be updated weekly for some reason?
Anyway I just thought I'd ask Shrink to revamp his famous prog.

If you or anyone want the an updated version from DVD Shrink, then I highly recommend getting Nero Recode 2. It's from the same author, Nero Recode 2 updates regularly, plus it's much faster than DVD Shrink.

Alkohol, at the minute I'm using Nero 6.6.0.13 without any problems I have to say.
I basically use Nero for burning .bin/.cue files and also use it for DVD Shrink as DVD Shrink is pretty good for it's re-author menue.
I see you mention this Nero recode 2, if I was to upgrade to the latest version of Nero, is this part of the package or do you have to get this seperately?
Also, as I said, I'm having no trouble so far with my version of Nero so would it be in my best interest to upgrade to the latest version now or wait until I eventually run into some kind of problem lol.
Thanks
Sandisk

I use Nero recode and srink sometimes. What i want to know is what do you mean it is updated weekly or even often? I have never got a update to recode itself. I have got updates to the whole Nero ultra package, but nothing in about a year!!

@sandisk
Nero Recode can do the same as DVD Shrink, you can re-author and just do the main movie or whole disc (the choice is yours). The main reason I prefer Nero Recode over DVD Shrink is because it's faster when it's "transcoding", plus you can use the "Assign Best Quality to Main Movie" via the MORE tab. Furthermore, it has the more advanced features from DVD Shrink (i.e. Advanced Analysis + HQSR).
Just update to the very last version of Nero 6 and you'll be fine.
@donewell
I strongly deemed that whenever there's a new version released (updated) with Nero (Nero 7), there's always a small updated on Nero Recode and others.
Good luck and happy burning.

Cool, I'll give it a shot tomorrow.
So obviously Nero 7 would be ok?
Thanks

@ alkohol
Since i have bought AnyDVD and clone dvd i don't use recode any more.Do you find a difference or advantage to recode. I have the 6.6.0.18 ultra. Clone is so easy.

donewell,
You will notice a difference on DVD's that are compressed more as Shrink and Recode are definitely better. The comparision between Recode,Shrink and Clone picture quality has already been done. You could try a search for it on this site as the pics do not lie.

No problems fso far with Nero 7.5.1.1,
Seems to handle everything I've thrown at it so far, Just remember not to install InCD and to disable Nero Scout.
