Shrink not seeing my DVD burner

Hi,
I've read the guides but can't find an answer to my problem.
I'm running Shrink on a few computers and have not run into this.
I loaded it onto a friends new laptop and loaded a copy of Nero6 (just like on my two computers) but now once I hit the "backup" button I don't get to select my DVD burner as a target Device.
It only allows me to choose "Hard Disk Folder" or "Image Recorder".
I choose "Hard Disk Folder" and it seemed to back it up into the folder but that's it. Nero didn't automatically burn it like on my other computers.
How do I get Shrink to give me the option to Back up to DVD burner so Nero will automatically start burning?

Hi.

You can't autoburn with Nero in version 6.6.1.4. Is that the version you're using? If so, use Nero 6.6.0.18:

Package 1: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Ner....0.18_no_yt.exe
Package 2: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

Be sure to use the Nero 6 Clean Tool before installing any version:

The option to burn with Nero is enabled as follows in Shrink:

Edit -> Preferences... -> File I/O tab -> check Enable burn with Nero

If neither of the above seem to cure the problem, try reinstalling Shrink.

Or you could just create an ISO image and burn with Imgburn.

What I'm currious about is that this is the same software I use on my other two computers but now, on the new laptop, Shrink doesn't give me the option of DVD burner like it does on the others. Any ideas on how to change this?

Did you check the DVD Shrink preferences like I noted in the post above to see if burning with Nero was enabled?

Uninstall and then reinstall DVD Shrink and see if it picks up Nero as being present. The option to burn with Nero is a default option anyway iirc.

I don't care a lot for Nero as a burner anyway. Why not just use ImgBurn. It's a free program and you can autoburn out of DVD Shrink with it as well. Here's the link to ImgBurn and to a version of Shrink already setup to autoburn with ImgBurn. Install ImgBurn first and then DVD Shrink.

Thanks for the advise,
I will un-install shrink and Nero. Then install shrink and try the "img burn" instead. I will give this a shot tomorrow as I won't be able to get my hands on my friends laptop till then.
