hey i heard u can play f/w 1.5 compatible games <iso> on ur emulated hen c using devhook WITHOUT An garbage UMD izzat true? ne 1 tried? and if sum1 gimme da list of da games which are compatible on f/w 1.5 ----

hagde yes u need to be running on 2.71 oringinally too to work this otherwise.it will never work,so upgrade your psp to 2.71
barbed if u want to play games without umd then u can go to 1.5 but note that it is no use coz any umd or iso games that has a higher firmware cannot run on 1.5
pantherX i think they are fixing this now i guess,hard to tell that i couldn't even find or check how to fix it.but go luck guys out there

Thanks kealvalro for this amazing thread and guide that u have painstakingly made.... i just have one request can u upload this easy installer package that u have created to any other site than sendspace. Bcoz i have been trying to download the files from there for 2 hrs now and still no luck :(. getting there are no free download slots available.

quick question peeps...
i got a factory 2.50 TA-082 and im thinking of using this method to get around playing ISO's. I downloaded the easy installer(the 7z file that has all the files and folders in place). My questionis this... after putting that on my memory stick, is there a chance that it will brick? I do realize other people here mention it went flawlessly, but i think they were going thru the manual method. Also, i was wondering if that hack upgrades or tampers with the firmware. Will my PSP firmware still be be 2.50? Will i be able to surf the net and play official games ( meaning from the disc itself )?

you need to upgrade to 2.71
about bricking, I mucked up and it didnt brick :D but I suppose their is always a 1 in god knows how many how many chance.
PS. i think teken upgrades to 2.71 not sure about other games.

barbed i think this wuestion is hard to answer coz i do not really know about games for 1.5 firmwares.what i do is play games on 2.71 but i run homebrews or other stuffs in 1.5.sweet.im not sure about psx-p emulator coz i have no intentions yet of trying it dude coz it most probably will be very slow and most games will not work in it, like the famous ff7.i got both jap and usa version.i also got 250 games for the psx but they are in the cds.but u can try it and make a thread about dude good luck
hadge this will really work coz 1 think is that i am a psp 2.5 TA-082 user that was upgraded by the shop owner to 2.6 TA-082 then i found out that i can update my psp to run iso.that's the whole thing i swear,if u do not believe me it's ok but this is your choice i am just trying to help out there who are stuck in the shitting TA-082.
good luck and think about,best where u walk on rite.
xpspx open a champaign and celebrate,kidding.but congrat man.ripping psp games is easy but hard to explain,it is best if u make a thread about that and asks other users there.a hint u can use file assistant to extract the files out of the umd to your memory stick then place those files to your computer,note sometimes the game is too big that u have to check where it last end sending the files to your memory stick,then place those files to your computer and do the rest again.when you get the whole file u can delete the update folder so that it cannot update your psp!!!.lastly u have to convert all those files to an ISO by using UMDGEN.thats it but there are other ways of version out there that are most probably faster.so check it out if u still do not have any clue then i am glad to help.

corchox if u have download my older version of easy installer then it is best if u format ur memory sick and download the new easy installer and extract it there.to know if u have the older version there is irshell inside it.
clownzin sorry man but it is slow there to upload my files that is why i do not put it there but i have uploaded the file again at the end of my first post.
alandusj did u got the easy installer and extract it to your main root mf ur memorystick.coz there will be no problem.if u have done it correct then boot HENC autoreboot itself then boot devhook0.4x for 2.71.then set the settingsm,do not put any umd in your psp
umd select : for example:guiltygearjudgement.iso
firmware : 2.71 with mshook
cpu clock : 222/111
boot select : reboot XMB
then click on start on devhook now u will be in a different blackground,ur done then put a umd in psp then hold HOME and press L or R note u will see the iso change at the bottom,choose one then go to umd thats it.good luck
TOguy yes this works on any TA-082 except the ones over 2.71.no this will never brick if u have place it in the rite way then ur great but even if u put it in the wrong place still it won't brick coz it would never load rite,good luck

I Hava a problem! When appears the blue screen on my psp! All become black and the psp turn off! It don't reboot! Any idea of whats happening???

I did everything to downgrade to 1.5 and went it said that it was completed...I hit x for the psp to restart now my psp wont do nothing when i try to turn it on only a black screen pops up...please help..

When you turn on your psp, a black screen comes up and thats it? If so, you might of bricked your psp. Did you make sure that the motherboard wasnt a ta-082?

i cant get HEN to wokk. I go to photo and click HENC and it imeditly Freezes.2 out of 28 times it goes into the HENC folder and i dont know what to click.? what do i do/???
