kealvalro,
I used your easy installer v2 and then went ahead and re-installed HenC, like you said, and everything works like a champ. Thanks. Great job.
I have 3 questions.
1) How did you get the cool "shredder" and "japanamation" PSP load screens? Where are the files to do that? Are they in the dh directory? Can you switch them around? Are their more that we can download? Can you create your own, and if so what program do you use?
2) I'm not sure if this is a common problem but if I EXIT Devhook and then try to restart, it tells me the game is corrupt and I have to reset my system to get it to load again. Is this normal?
3) Lastly, where can you find some more cool wallpapers? I love the one you have in the easy installer. Just wanted to check out some more.
Thanks again. It's a great tut.

pspnoobie most probably is the game problem coz some games need to be patched so u can check the patch out in maxconsole.good luck
neofhyte congrats to you finally u can play iso's :)
neff still trying to compress aye
ok do what i will give u a short walkthrough
download the new umdgen 3.5
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/689
first way do it
1.start umdgen then on the top u will see (file, tool and help)
choose "tools" then in "tools" choose "Batch Conversion)
2.drag the iso to that small window
3.choose cso then choose "start batch conversion, wait for a while then it's done.now all you got to do now is go back to the folder where you have drag the file to the small window place it in the "ISO" folder in your PSP then thats it you're done
second is rather complicated for u but it sure damn cuts a lot of space in the file.you have to bring the file back to iso form then open it with umdgen then delete the update folders.that is 22mb more or less the same.then if u do not mind delete the videos in it,what i mean is the fmv sequence and so on.you only can delete some of the videos not the important ones are for the logo, intro and main.and then you have to replace those file that you delete to a pmf file that has less than 1mb.meaning like if you have the video that is 32mb you can rub out that file and replace it with a 1mb file that has nothing in it.but this is up to you if u want to do it.i know most of you guys will disagreed in deleting the video.but this is what i got splinter cell form 1.2gb dropped to 785mb.way down.
alright good luck guys out there over and out
and yoshihiro has left the community.hope he will be back to make more homebrews

GTbuzz those coo; shredder and animate are called gameboots.
you can actually make one for yourself and each firware can put different kind.but creating one is hard and the file should not be more than 1.2mb coz it will brick your psp instantly.
so be careful what you download or make.
if u want the made ones then go here
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/347769
get one you want then change that file name to "gameboot.pmf"
then in your PSP memorystick go to "dh" folder any firmware you want to put in on then inside that folder.open "flash0" then "VSH" then "resource" and place the gameboot there.thats it have fun changing gameboots but still be careful what you download.
wallpapers you can set them yourself there is a lot of cool wallpapers around the internet.surf them good luck.
about exiting devhook thats ok but usually it can go back to your original psp firmwarebut i am using a different devhook from the easy installer but i give this one to u coz it works and i do not want to make a new tutorial for the other devhook but if u are interested in using it check it out here

sounds interesting.
You fancy telling us if it is a ta-082 or not, if it has got 2.71 in it, what firmware you are emulating, what speed the processor is running and finally what game it is? Did you use the easy install file and nothing else?
That way we can experiment and have a little play trying to find out what mobo and firmware it sits best on and the 1.5 guys can have a play too I guess.
PS, I am very happy with my 2.71henc, but is their any advantage to going with a generic install of 1.5? I am fairly sure i am not ta-082 but I am a tad concerned I will lose out somehow or maybe taking a risk not needed.

if u have a umd in there.. henC wont boot and will just freeze.either u take the umd out be4 using HENC or wait until the sound of the umd spinning stops.(around 10-15 secs while umd inside)
