For those having problems getting firmware 3.02 emulation running on a ta-082 motherboard I would suggest getting Zephyrus easy installer http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/946 .Before doing anything make a system backup and then reformat your psp.Now just follow the instructions Zephyrus has issued in his readme.

Instructions
------------

- Copy all contents inside MS_ROOT to the root of your memory stick.

- Go to the PHOTO viewer of the XMB and enter in the folder "HEND".
- If your PSP freezes, reboot your PSP and try again. This is due to
the instabability of the tiff and it'll only be executed at times.
It'll be improved in the near future by Dark_AleX.

- A blue screen will appear the first time you run this program, and
after that, you'll either see:

1) Red: The files couldn't be written to the flash, keep trying.

2) Green: The files were written successfully. The XMB will reboot
shortly. You can now run homebrew in the format prepared
for 2.71. (details below).

- As previously mentioned, the patch will remain resident in memory.
The patch will not be removed, even in sleep mode. Only a hardware
reset will remove the program from memory.

- When you do a hardware reset, you'll have to run the tiff again.
The difference this time is, there won't be a green or red screen
since there's no longer a need to write to flash.

(again, due to the instabability of the tiff, it'll either get
stucked on the blue screen and turns off, or the XMB will reboot
itself shortly after the blue screen.)

If it get stucked, just run the tiff again, and keep trying until
it reboots by itself after the blue screen.

- Once the patch has been executed, it is independant on the memory stick
contents, so, you can freely swap memory sticks until you have to run
the patch again due to a hard-reset.

- After you've completed the steps above, Run the pbp with the title
"DEVHOOK0.4X launcher for 2.71". Adjust the settings as per below:

UMD SELECT > UMD Disc
FIRMWARE > 1.50
CPU CLOCK > 222MHz /111MHz
BOOT SELECT > reboot XMB

OTHER MENU > UMD SFO VERSION > 2.xx to 2.00

- Once you're in the emulated 1.50 environment, go to the GAME menu
of the XMB and run "DevHook Firmware Installer".

- Press X and wait for loading screen.
- Press X once more to dump.
- Wait for the PSP to reboot upon dump completion.

- Turn off the PSP once it's done.

- Turn it back on and execute HEND again.

- Go to the GAME menu again and run "DEVHOOK0.51 launcher BETA".

- In the DevHook menu, scroll down to "FLASH INSTALL".

(remove any previous flashes by selecting the "uninstall DH files
from flash1:" and hold O for 1 second to unflash)

- Select "install configfile to flash1:".
- Hold O for 1 second to start writing.

If you're hesitant about flashing, don't worry, as writing to flash1
is very safe since it doesn't overwrite any files in flash1.

- Start DevHook and you'll be booted into 3.02 successfully.

Package Notes
-------------

HEND-Tips

- Open up your UMD drive before you execute HEND (to prevent your UMD
from auto loading as PSP reboots upon successful execution of HEND).

- Close the UMD drive right after the PSP reboots on an successful
execution of HEND with your UMD still in the drive.

- After you've completed the above steps, you may delete the following
files from the root of your memory stick as they are only needed the
first time this program is executed: pspbtknf.txt, pspbtknf_game.txt,
pspbtknf_updater, and systemctrl.prx. However, don't delete patch.bin,
h.bin and the folder with the tiff, since you will need those the next
time you do a hard reset, so that you can run the patch again.

The default button set when you dump 3.02 using the devhook firmware
installer in the MS_ROOT/PSP/GAME/ folder is the JAP O/X config.

If you want to install the US/EU's X/O button set, copy contents in
the "US-EU's O-X Firmware Installer" folder into the MS_ROOT folder
and overwrite any existing files before transferring to your MS.

If you'd like to install other firmware versions for devhook, please
replace the EBOOT.PBP (3.02 UPDATE EBOOT) with your desired firmware
EBOOT and run the installer. It has been tested and supports fw 2.80
to fw 3.02 even though it may support future update EBOOTs.

Please refer to the following thread for more info on
the devhook firmware installer:

http://forums.qj.net/f-psp-development-f...-05b-83069.html

By the way, as a note for everyone, I did not include any original
README's from the original release archives I've used to make this,
as I figured out no one would actually read them.

To enable the vShex menu, press the HOME button once to access.
You can run the "Escape DevHook" option from the vShex menu to
return to your original firmware, 2.71.

Also, take note that wifi does not work when the CPU is clocked over
222MHz / 111MHz speed. The default is set at 222/111.

The clockspeed menu in devhook originally had only two clocking speed,
but I went ahead and edited them in the in dh/05beta/menu/ & /menuj12/
folders to add a few more overclocking options. Most default settings
were edited too so you only have to do the flash1 flashing and have it
boot straight to 3.02 without doing any changes to the other settings.

The 0.51 launcher did not change in v0.51.0100, only the prx's in the
05/kd/ folder were updated (devhook.prx, umdciso.prx, and vshex.prx
were updated from 0.51.0000 to 0.51.0100).

The dh/271/ folder was updated to add the dh/05/kd/systemctrl_dh.prx
to the dh/271/flash0/kd/ (pspbtcnf_dh.txt & pspbtcnf_game_dh.txt).

That was to enable HEN-D if you ever emulate 2.71 on MS with DevHook
0.51. An addition by Dark_AleX in his DevHook 0.51 port for 2.71. (:

Thanks
------

BOOSTER - what else? for devhook, of course!

Dark_AleX - everything he has done for us, 2.71 development,
SE, devhook ports for 2.71, psardumper mod, etc.

tommydanger - personally recompiled his v0.5b dh-fw installer
with the jap O/X button set by my request.

Noobz team - for 3.0x psardumper mod.

PSPet - creator of the original psardumper.

Everything I put up is in the readme file, the instructions and notes from Zephyrus himself. If you would like to give credit, then he deserves it not me.

My Notes on this easy installer:

The first time you go into Devhook 0.51 launcher, change CPU CLOCK in the menu to 266/133 MHz.I would suggest you do this step before you go into Flash Install and install the configfile to flash1.It will save these settings instead of the default one,so everytime you boot into devhook 0.51 launcher it will be set to 266/133 MHz.

I don't have any problem with kealvalro's setup, but I like this one better. The devhook firmware installer is really nice if you haven't used it yet I would suggest you check it out if you haven't.

sorry to double post. . .

L-Burna. . .have tried the guide. . .I get this far..

- Wait for the PSP to reboot upon dump completion.

- Turn off the PSP once it's done.

- Turn it back on and execute HEND again.

I can't do anything other than look at the tiff. I get no reboot or screen changes or anything. I turn off the psp. Turn it on again in 1.5 mode and then go to run HEND again but nothing. I try starting the steps over, but I get a "can't find update eboot error" when trying to execute the devhook firmware installer. When i first executed it , it extracted for a long while and rebooted as it should have. any suggestions?

I uploaded what I have so far if you would like to get it here it is http://download.yousendit.com/66ED614F6F067640 .The only things I changed are the buttons in firmware 1.50 and firmware 3.02 for X is to select and O is to cancel.I left out the devhook installer which is really easy to fix, just copy over the eboots inside the US-EU's O-X Firmware Installer folder to the MS_ROOT\PSP\GAME\%__SCE__302_dh_fw_installer and MS_ROOT\PSP\GAME\__SCE__302_dh_fw_installer before transfering it to your memory stick.Good Luck and if you need me to edit anything let me know.

OOK! Finally the 3.02 works on my PSP.. thanks to the Zephyrus Easy Installer.. (i really would like to try the KealValro one.. but I formatted my PSP at least 10 times in 2 days to try different settings.. i've had enough!)
I can even emulate 1.50 and run some homebrews like games and IRshell.. great (but useless :D)

There's still a question, please answer me!
Sometimes the PSP crashes when trying to load a game or trying to quit a game.. is it normal??
(i did'n have this problem with the previous version of devhook)

Thanks to everybody!

Hey guys, thanks, I got everything running. DH .51 seems less stable for me than previous DH, and henD takes forever to patch/reboot. I thought it would be more stable.
I have the same problems as JacPoP
"Sometimes the PSP crashes when trying to load a game or trying to quit a game.. is it normal??
(i did'n have this problem with the previous version of devhook) "

Maybe i'll try reinstalling later.

I used the Zephyrus package that Kealvalro and L-Burna linked to previously. It was very very easy! But it doesn't have all the fancy extras that are in Kealvalro's pack.

thanks again.

@JacoPOP and @tad2much,hmm i dont know but all the games i play works perfectly.even when exiting there is no problem.never crashes but i will try most of the games i have soon.

sorry @lux209 for keeping u waiting.i have put the direct download link already.fetch when u can bro..

@bio_psp,sure i have post the downgrader and the guide at the end of my first post.thsi can only downgrade to 2.50,2.60 or 2.70.

if your firmware crashes and goes to the blue screen of death.then it boots back to your normal firmware but there is problems with it try downgrading it and upgrading it again to fix the problem..

good luck guys.sorry i will be out now for quite a long time but i will be back to answer some questions later...
