I think it is only for Devhook vhex. Devhook 0.51 doesn't have it.

thanks i figured it out..
Hey i have 2 4 gig sticks. what I'm trying to do is have it to where my 2nd stick only has the games on it. So I can swap it out and access a game. Do I have to have a full install of all the contents of the devhook k install on both memory sticks?

Yeah you have to have DevHook on both memory sticks. Well actually you will only need it on one because you are only going to play ISOs off one of them.

OK guys so I can now emulate 3.02. I used zephyrus easy installer since it was the least bloated of the 2. Now I would like to know how to:
1. Switch the button configuration back to the US one, I copied the PSP folder to my ms0: and nothing happend what's the correct way of doing this.
2. Which files I can erase to make my install even smaller.
3. What I have to do to be able to play through the usb cable. I read I needed to install dh 0.46 which is fine by me but I would like a minimal install of this if available.
Also, I'm a little DDD so if you can explain clearly for me I would greatly appreciate it.
You guys are awesome and keep up the great work. Thanks for answering all questions we've had so far. You guys are the best!!!

Quote: 14.get back to your psp, press the "HOME" button you will only see the games in the psp.
15.quickly move your analogstick left twice and you will see the folder "ISO",quickly move analogstick right to enter it.now you will see the games that is only in your pc
note:some of the file doesn't have any thumbnail but you should know the name of the game of course rite.
16.now choose the game and play hahahahah
17.go back to play your games in your psp simply press the "HOME" button then move the analogstick left once then scroll down and find for the "iso" folder.quickly move the analogstick right once thats it.
Okay, I got the games to show up. I might not be doing 16. right. I go to the game and in 16. it should be playing right now. But it's not. Can anyone please help me? I desperately want to play ISO's.
My PSP Firmware History: 2.60 had to return the PSP because it had a dead pixel > new PSP had firmware 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.52 M33 > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.71 M33 > 3.71 M33 with 1.50 kernel

what an awesome forum.
quick question
If someone had a Ta-082 running 2.71 and they extracted a rar to find this structure:
Folder: dh
Folder: psp
iso: XXXXXXX.iso
what would they do with these? Putting the iso in the iso folder does nothing.
tks.

1. First copy the contents of the US-EU's O-X Firmware Installer folder into the root of your memory stick (i.e X:\ where X is the drive letter of your PSP). Now run the firmware installer again and when you run DevHook and emulate 3.02 the buttons will be swapped.
2. After you have installed DevHook you can delete the installer (in X:\PSP\GAME) and the EBOOT.PBP in the root of your memory stick.
3. Read the first post of this thread, I don't think there is a minimum install.

Hello, I would just like to compliment you on the great detail and easy-to-understand quality this guide is.
However, I have found that I have ran into a strange problem whilst following the guide.
I've tried following the basic original post but when I get to the "start" in the devhook 0.4x installer, the psp turns black and then I have to wait about 15 seconds for the screen to say the game could not be started. However, the instant I press X (back) on this screen, the screen itself reverts to the black screen. However, if i wait about 15 more seconds the black screen shows up.
This process is continuous.
Secondly, I've followed the quick installer from Zephyrus. This doesn't work either - I run into the same problem.
So if anybody can shed light on why this is happening and the remedy for it, I would greatly appreciate it.

Did you run HEND before trying to run DevHook 0.4x?

Yes, I ran HEND and it rebooted. Next, I ran the Devhook for 2.71 and after is where I ran into the problem.
Thanks for the quick reply.

Do you have a UMD inserted?
If so, take it out, turn off your PSP and then turn it on gain. Run HEND and then run DevHook. Insert your UMD after DevHook has loaded.

Thanks once again and I've tried your suggestion but that doesn't seem to work either; the problem is still there. The funyn thing is, when the screen is black, I can move the D-pad and here the sounds of the clicks.

I've tried the Zephyrus installer and my own manual installation. Both have identical problems. The easy-installer doesn't work as well. I'm pretty certain I have the locations of the files correct because I read the guide word-for-word and did it several times.
I've also tried goign through 2.71 Flash firmware instead of 1.5 and adjusting the other settings respectively - it worked fine. However, for some reason, 1.5 just won't work for me.

Well, this psp is fairly new and so I haven't really experienced any problems with its functions. I'll try your suggestions; thanks!
What version did you downgrade it to?
Also, does coming in factory 2.71 effect it in any way?

Alright, I followed your guide and downgraded my PSP to a 2.6 version. However, now it's presenting the same problems as when I tried to emulate the 1.5 version. No screen but sound.

no i mean u have to downgrade it then upgrade it back to 2.71 then boot henD and devhook launcher.here is how to update it
A)update your psp to 2.71
1.open "2_71_US_firmware_update" or "2_71_JAP_firmware_update" with WinRAR
2.plug psp to computer then on psp screen go to "USB connection"
3.move EBOOT.PBP to memory stick "PSP/GAME/UPDATE" folder
(if u don't have the update folder make one)
4.then on the screen of your PSP go to "GAME" then "PSP update ver 2.71"
(click it whatelse, just follow the update instructions)
finish updating
