now for the ISO's... every time i download an ISO and extract it i get these files/folders,

-UMD_DATA bin file
-PSP_Game / sysdir / usrdr

and i have no idea what to do with that??? any ideas or any place where i should download an ISO that might be a little better, Thanks a bunch

- Jon

1. Download UMDGen from here:
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/948
2. Now open up UMDGen and then go File-->New and drag and drop the UMD_DATA.BIN and PSP_GAME into the window. Now click Save-->.iso and then you can save the ISO and put it in X:\ISO (where X is the drive letter of your PSP).

Use HEND and the new DevHook 0.51. Follow the "2nd_choice" of the guide on the first post of this thread.

thx kealvalro for this guide..it works fine but i have 1 problem, when i play with my umd disk (at the end of the guide...when i'm on 3.02) it works normal but when i exit the psp switch off and when i start it again, i'm on 2.71...the normal one..and i have to repet all the guide starting with the point n°12. it works again...but when i use my umd disk i have every time the same problem. why? should i modify something before play an umd disk? or every time i must repet all?

P.S. i'm using Devhook "K" easy installer, psp 2.71 with ta-082 with 3.02 emulated firmware, 1Gb memory stick & the Umd disk is monster hunter freedom.
P.P.S. Excuse me if I have made some error but I am not English.

nah u dont need to do the guide again somehow so many users have problems with the exiting.i think it is a bug.what u can do is do the same process for hend and devhook.but choose the firmware always so that u do not need to flash

my psp 3.03 OE-B TA-082 emulates 1.50,2.71,2.82 and 3.01

I can't wait to see your guide. If a save file is needed to get passed the intro can you please provide a link. I have save file but its not at the beginning of the game and I couldnt even get that to work. I can only get as far as loading or starting a new game then its a black screen.

I'm not sure about UMD games. But Keal, I think it would still be a good idea to include this fix in your 'Easy K Installer" though. At least for ISO games there wouldn't be a problem exiting and Brother in Arms and possibly other games would be able to work.

Yay this works!! thanx!

but i have a question. Now i have Devhook 0.51 on my psp. Is there any way i can have devhook .46 on it also and how? I'm running a 2.71 ta-082.

i kinda like .46 better than .51 to play older games, on .51 everytime i exit an iso game, it gooes blank and i have to restart the psp.

anyone??? pls??

@barbed:
You don't need to use the USB to load ISOs. You can also load from your memory stick.

@skyyie:
Try using FW 3.01/3.02 to run Metal Gear Portable OPs. I tried it with 3.01 last night and it works.

@Navi083:
Try this guide to solve the exiting ISO problem:

No its not possible to use NetHost(wifi) or USBHost in DevHook 0.51 yet.

HA!!!! oh my gosh that did it!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

No problem.

@Navi- Try emulating firmware 3.02 instead and that may fix the problem.

@burgiju and @Navi083:

From keal's guide on the 1st page, this is how you get the Wifi working in the XMB menu:

"to get the internet working,press "HOME" button then change the CPU CLOCK to 222/111"

Oh I thought you were talking about playing ISOs via wifi. Sorry. You can play online and browse the web etc, just do what paladori said in the post above.
