Okay, so I cso'ed the ISO file and now it runs. However, it freezes at the intro for Tekken (Bandai Namco).

Try setting the compression level lower.

I tried compression level 5 and it shows the same problem; stuck on intro of the game.
Also, am I supposed to run it at 266 or 222 mhz?

Try both. I would say try 222MHz.

Did, both freeze at Intro screen of the game. I also tried Compression LEvel 1 and that displays an identical result so it shouldn't be the compression level's problem. Any other suggestions would be highly appreciated. So close!

Try doing a clean install of firmware 2.71 using the Update Flasher by Dark_alex and then using the easy installer again.

Wow, if everything runs full speed thats very good. I have to give this a try, but its too bad that I sold most of my old PS1 games.

Yeah I'm not exactly sure if the fix on my website works. Someone posted it on Maxconsole so I assumed that it worked.
Oh well.

Thanks Externalis, with your advice I got Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops working. However, Tekken still doesn't work. I don't believe that it's a result of a bad "iso" because I've downloaded 3 different copies of iso's and they all crash at the PSP logo. I was looking around the forums, and really, it seemed that everybody had success with it in DevHook 0.46. Is it possible that 0.51 is incompatible with Tekken and needs to be 0.46?
Thanks.

Yes that might be the case. Try it with DevHook 0.46.

How would I go about doing that? What files do I change and what procedures to modify?
Please excuse my complete ignorance. Thanks!

wut up keal!!! i just got your "Devhook K" to work and it plays great but is there a way to go back and forth between firmware updates like 2.71 and 1.50 because so far if i go into 3.02 im basicly stuck there unless i hard reset or i manually exit the devhook.
also i noticed that u put a ps1 game emulator device thingy in there as well, were would i go to get emulated ps1 games?? or are they iso's as well??

---- Will it fix the problem with the exit of umd game?
I'm not sure about UMD games. But Keal, I think it would still be a good idea to include this fix in your 'Easy K Installer" though. At least for ISO games there wouldn't be a problem exiting and Brother in Arms and possibly other games would be able to work.
Ok...with iso it works (I have been lucky to find that links)...but there is something for umd disk?
