Hi kealvalro,
I downloaded the 3rd version easy installation thing on the first page and everything is working fine. I'm wondering if I could turn off monthly pic in fw 1.5 and change the font. It's kinda annoying to see those ugly fonts and pics. Thx

kealvalro with the file that you provide will ff7 now work?
also it says that castlevania works with it but it didn't work for me.
was it because i had not put those memory card files you provide?

hey is there a bug with the new devhook that effects the time? Its always a hour off and everytime i change it and go to a dfferent fw i have to change the time back.

Keal i think you should open a mini-website where to make updates and have separate pages for each guide.. let's call it "TA082GURU.com"
(or maybe just open a separate folder inside this forum :/ - just for TA-082 users... we are growing..)

i really love your guides in this post...really helped me alot on my new PSP...tnx...keep up the amazing work....hope to try the 3.02 thing sometime soon...
Proud owner of a Sony PSP TA-082 motherboard running on 2.71 FW HEN-D and Devhook .046 and Devhook 0.51 for 2.71 now emulating 3.02 FIRMWARE.

@kealavros- My guide is working fine right now. But sometimes the server is down (well I wont complain about the free hosting cos they give me unlimited space- but that could be a bug :) ).
EDIT: Actually my site appears to be down now, hmmm.

Yeah I really need better hosting, but I can't complain because as I said before no other host would give me unlimited space for free.
Anyway back on topic, does anyone know where I can find the compatibility list of PS1 ISOs on the emulator?

I think its in the system.ireg and system.dreg in the registry folder of the f1 folder...i read from somewhere that those file is where the configs are stored...
btw the character set of emulated 3.02 right now is jap...
I dont think you have to extract it, i think just by copying the f1 folder it will work...
So if you dont mind, can u please change your character set in 3.02 to traditional chinese and posted up your f1 folder.

Can you run ISOs off of memory stick? Or must the PSP be plugged in to the PC while playing?

Yeah you can, just scroll down to the "2.71 TA-082 3.01 emulation" part of this guide.
@ibjaredu- I used addyour.net for hosting but they are down at times. Also, I dont think they normally give unlimited space for free and it was a bug and I was lucky to get it :)

First off 'Kealvaro and team' 'Thank you all for your genorous help!!
I have a 2.71fw PSP Ta'board. It has the latest .51 devhookbeta as well as Devhook /vshex mod ''chung1am devhook version as well. The ''K'' pack you guys posted is the one I have installed on my PSP. I really love the eaze of the gameboots selection in vshexmod/devhook. As well as the other important options it has.
One note which I have missed in this post is that I got the devhook/vshex to BOOT Iso's without the UMD. I can show you guys how to run it...if not allready mentioned. No need for any UMD never to run ISO's.
I found that the .51 devhookbeta is ''primarly'' for the 3.2 PSP FW Boot process. Fairly eazy as well. Any other uses for .51 dev??
I will read and keep up at these excellent post's you all have given us to share and to enjoy...and will be updating any''user tips'' to fully enjoy the latest DEvhooK.
The final comment I have is which program do I use to change the EMULATED 1.5fw WALLPAPER AND FONTS BOOTSOUNDS ETC. for this emu1.5fw. that was included in the ''k'' pack??? Which files pbp/boot* files>? The FONT included in this pack are great..I would just like to change the wallpapers IN EMU 1.5.
One I have in mind is PSPSet or 2.71 personalize .8 . How would I go about to use and to not ''BRICK'' my poor PSP..using this excellent ''k'' pack and not having any issues with bricking. Is there any other programs/. for TA board/emu PSP's? I have some excellent wallpapers to share that are ''scene''badass as well as some more gameboots. I will pm/email you kealvaro to send you some more gameboots or I will post them in the gameboot section. I have found on this crazy internet. Tested and working Gameboots on my system. So you can add them as well in the packs you guys keep making. as the wallpapers I have. What size do they have to be for no errors in 1.5 xmb. 480x???

It is used to run the new ISOs which can't be run by DevHook 0.46 or lower. It is also more stable than DevHook 0.50.

Which ISOs did you run? I'm pretty sure that you can only run 1.5 ISOs without a UMD in DevHook. Are you sure you tried a higher firmware ISO?

@dman33 FF7 Works,well u have to add the three files to make it work dude.and when u get to the ff7 menu try changing the clock cpu to 800% by holding L+R and press up(D=PAD) to increase the speed

@cidpower yes u can play games that is in the memorystick but u can run iso games too through usb mode
@diginoob now that is a chapter of questions lol...first of thanks for the complement.i got all the stuffs from chunglam already but i didnt include the old devhook coz the new one has all of it.
0.51 devhookbeta is mainly use for games that needs higher firmware though i think it is impossible now to launch any homebrews..
changing the EMULATED 1.5fw WALLPAPER AND FONTS BOOTSOUNDS
for wallpaper i edit the monthly change background that is location in the memorystick dh\150\flash0\VSH\resource folder just change the image size almost the same as it and replace it with the name provided 01.bmp.02.bmp and so on
for gameboots well you can just add it in the gameboot folder in dh it works now in 1.5 but it will come from time to time coz there is too many i have put inside.
for bootsound im not sure how to do it but u just have to edit a part is the dump files,coz there is now concern with devhook about the boot sound
fonts u can use fontmod to change it but it is best to get the fonts u want then change it.u do not really need to use fontmod to change it,u can just get the font files(must be 20 files that is actually one) then place it in dh\the firmware u want to change it to\flash0\font thats it
now i have ended my chapter for u lol.........
@tehjoker i think it works have to use
ScreenShot = PSP_CTRL_NOTE (this mean press the mute button)
VideoStartNormal = PSP_CTRL_NOTE + PSP_CTRL_RTRIGGER (this means press the mute button + R)
VideoStartAdvanced = PSP_CTRL_NOTE + PSP_CTRL_LTRIGGER + PSP_CTRL_RTRIGGER (this means press the mute button + R + L)
VideoStop = PSP_CTRL_NOTE (this mean press the mute button)
hope u can make it work but i think u have to enebled it first in devhook

hey kealvalro~
I'm a 2.71 ta-082 user and like I was trying to upgrade my psp from emulating 2.71 with HEND to 3.01
anyhow with your guide I got up the part where I need to FLASH INSTALL in devhook BETA 0.51
after i pressed circle for a sec and got the flashing started it stopped moments later.. and just like that ever since.. no flashing of the ms led just kinda of stuck i guess...
what to do what to do~~ dont' tell me i bricked it ..... T_T

well the screen had white and red words...
and the white words had stuff like MK DIR and etc...
anyway.. somehow just now i maganged to return to the menu..
I kinda like pressed all the buttons coz kinda upset...
anyway as long its safe now haha
btw will it work a second time? I seriously didnt skip a thing in the guide...
EDIT - i really dont have a clue but.. the booting of the devhook works!! I guess the flashing was successfull... in a way
