You put the f0 folder into dh/302/ not kd/302/

Athrun_C hmm i think the character map file is not system.dreg and system.ireg.it must be in the folder of kd or resource of the flash0 folder but i cant tell which one

Damn guys there is a downgrader for 2.71 TA-082,you can now softdown your PSP to 1.50 or SE-C.but the problem is u can never update it back to any higher firmware anymore.check it over here
There?s also a slight chance you may brick your PSP during the initial softdown procedure. I?ve yet to hear any reports of that though.

read carefully before doing it.
i think it is not worth it coz u can never update it again.and he said that if u downgrade to 1.50 and cahnge the settings there,your psp will crash

Did you select the chinese character set for 3.02 before you copied the files? Did copying the whole f1 folder work??
Sorry for asking again cause i want to make sure...

yup i did select simplified chinese in my psp then i took out the two files and send them to my friends psp..but still the same thing.
if you wanto to try it still i can send u a link of the two files

BTW for the fw eboot for the dump did u use the jp or the us one?...i guess it doesnt matter.
My f0 is 19.1mb is your's the same size?

Step A):update your psp to 2.71
Step B):moving Homebrew Enabler REV D[HEND] to psp
Step C):moving Devhook v0.46 ultimate installer v1.1.1 to psp
Step D):installing 1.50 dump firmware to psp
Step E):installing DEVHOOK Launcher/VSHEX Mod 1.65b to psp
i was able to complete all the above steps except C. I have a macintosh and cant read .exe files. Still I was able to get devhook running and able to play ISO. However i cant run UMDs that require 2.80. Can someone please send me the file that unpacks with the ultimate installere. I think its DATA.BIN

hey keal thanx for the help...my psp is running smoothly now. just a few hangs on hend but not much of a problem...i am now able to emulate 3.02...love that visuals on the music files...one more question... what if decided to re-format my memory stick? i know i'll lose all the things in it, but what about the files i flashed in to the psp? will it have an effect on my handheld when devhook .51 and 3.02 files are missing? thanks again keal...keep it up!!!
Proud owner of a Sony PSP TA-082 motherboard running on 2.71 FW HEN-D and Devhook .046 and Devhook 0.51 for 2.71 now emulating 3.02 FIRMWARE.

guys if any of u cannot run exe files use this for Part C)
this is the file that u need to extract out of devhook ultimat installer
@die_no,well i have format my psp like 50 times since i got it lol!!!.best if u backup the files to your desktop then format.coz u need to keep the 302 folder so that u do not need to do it again or flash it again

hi keal, thanks for the awesome guide (as usual). I am trying to use the k easy installer for 3.02. However, when I open the dh 3.02 folder and try to paste the f0 file, I am asked if I wish to replace the files. When I click yes, it copies and then hangs.
Any ideas?

thats weird try checking how mech space on your memorystick has left.and what size is it coz if it is a 2gb it could be fake but there is many answers to why your memorystick hang,sorry bro i not so sure bout it..

Hey keal, disregard my previous post. I have managed to solve it. :)
Apparently, while the f0 files are being copied into the dh 302 folder, you should click back once immediately. Then proceed to move the dh 150 and 270 folders as you have instructed accordingly.
Also, I have accidentally found out, in order to make sure that the system does not hang at HEND stage, first enter into the Memory Stick folder (where all the Devhook icons, etc are found) and exit before proceeding to the PHOTO file and click on HEND icon. This way, I am guaranteed that the system does not hang. I hope this works for you all as well.

Nah, apparently you can use Xflash to fix that by flashing 1.5 registry files.

yup i just saw it in psphack forum sorry bout that mistake.but still u cant update problem.i think i will do it since u can use xflash to flash files but is it safe.if it is quiet safe now.
then i will do the downgrade but i think i cannot help 2.71 ta-082 users anymore coz i will be in 1.50.this thread will certainly be closed

It wont be closed as there are plenty of other people with TA-082s to help.
Plus I think you should softdown to firmware 2.71 SE-C.

Yeah it did say that. Anyway apart from that here are the differences:
-2.71 SE-C has a recovery mode so if you semi-brick your PSP you can repair it.
-2.71 SE-C has a noUMD mode, so you can play ISOs without a UMD
(however not all games work with this)
-2.71 SE-C allows you to run ISOs directly from the GAME-->Memory Stick menu (but this is only for ISOs that run on DevHook 0.46)
-2.71 SE-C allows you to run plugins from your memory stick (this includes the MP3 plugin which allows you to listen to MP3s while in the XMB or while playing a game). Also you can use the DevHook autoboot plugin to get your PSP to automatically boot into emulated 3.02.
-2.71 SE-C can run HEND homebrew.
