To jeric25 you have to be running Dark Alex 3.02 OE B to run the popstation.I agree with BrendanL so far on the custom flash.I will wait until a better recovery scheme is available and further improvements.If you need help kostyam69 let me know,if it is something simple I'm sure I can help you out.I also wanted to ask if anyone knows a solution to booting backed up UMD movies.I don't mind converting to the current formats supported for psp,but running a dumped movie would give better quality and just be alot better.I have a dump of a UMD movie,but I can't get anything to run it.I used umdemulator,and seen some users report a Predator 2 UMD movie dump works.I think a launcher would have to be created for this option to work,and I can't figure out what is sent to the psp to recognize a psp movie is in the drive.I already asked some advanced psp users,but was wondering if anyone had a solution for this or knows any psp hacker working on a solution for this.

how do i know if i have oe-b? i already followed the instructions on how to install the downgrader and i already downgraded my psp. i can play isos, csos, but cant play iso for psx. i recently opened ff tactics but it only took me to the squaresoft logo. hope u guys can solve this.
i did the following things:
>powered my psp
>runned hend
>runned devhook (1.5, 222/111, etc.)
>runned ps1p
>chose my fftactics iso
>saw sony entertainment screen
>saw squaresoft screen
>total blackout
>umd still reading

sorry for double posting... what do you mean i should downgrade to 1.5? what did i do when i used the easy K installer? wasn't that already the downgrade? and suppose i am to follow this downgrading thing, what am i supposed to do... i hope i get a detailed answer cuz i don't want my psp bricked. anyway, i hope you guys can really help me with this one... thanks a lot so far for the replies.

You mentioned Hot Shots 2,which involves popstation.The 3.02 OE firmware flash has the official Sony PS1 emulator built in it,but if you use a PS1 emulator other than the official you will not get the best results.The problem with the unofficial ps1 emulator,is that they don't run all games at full speed.The official emulator runs all ps1 games at full speed,but requires the 3.02 OE flash which I don't really recommend.Your best bet would be to downgrade to 1.50 firmware using the TA-082 downgrader by Dark_AleX/Mathieulh/Harleyg.Then get DevHook v0.52 by Booster,and 3.03 PSAR Dumper with the 3.03 firmware update.Then follow Kealvalro's guide for devhook 0.51,but skip the HenD part in the tutorial.If you are in firmware 1.50,HenD isn't needed anymore.The reason why is cause every psp hacker makes programs(devhook,umdemulator,umddaxdumper etc...) from the 1.50 kernel.So if you have a psp running firmware 1.50 all you would need is devhook v0.52 and the ps1p emulator.You can run devhook and the ps1p emulator without HenD and going through devhook to emulate 1.50 firmware.I would advise everyone on here if you have a ta-082 psp to downgrade to 1.50 firmware,but I don't really advise the custom firmware flashes.The reason why I would advise downgrading to 1.50 is the fact that everything for psp that the psp hackers develop for is strictly for 1.50 firmware.The reason why I don't really advise custom firmware flashes is for the fact that they are not released by Sony and could have risks in using them.The 2.71 devhook launcher was a port from a devhook that was made for 1.50 users.Alright I hope I explained alot so far for those that are concerned about what they should do.If you are having problems installing the new devhook 0.52 let me know and I will create a guide for you.

i have a problem!!
i've downgrade my psp and installed the 3.02 OE.
when i play GTA it works slowly.
do you know what should i do??
or how to change the cpu clock??
i'm using cso file. i have the GTA umd and it runs good.

You can't change the clock speed in 3.02 OE,it can only be done with devhook.Try to make your GTA that is in .cso file to an .iso and see if that speeds it up a little bit.If that doesn't work then I don't think there is a way to speed it up with 3.02 OE.

i dont get it. i followed the manual instructions on how to downgrade and the last thing i was able to do was the TA082 IdStorage Change. it ran but the next instruction i wasn't able to do. the other file says corrupt data. i dont get it. someone please help... if you have msn or ym please message me... rikz88@hotmail.com & rikz88@yahoo.com. thanks

sorry again for double post... i just want to clarify things... i did the K EASY INSTALLER and i used it for a while. now i want to try this new darkalex thing out cuz it promises of no more hend and devhook everytime i run a game. is this even possible for me to execute? how? i already formated my mem stick and i stop at the step after i run the IdStorage Change. i have the 1.50 update.. (UPDATE.PBP >>> i renamed this from EBOOT.PBP) i'm really frustrated. all i want to do was play psx games. please help me.

i've done as the 2nd choice, third version as u mentioned. now i can select iso use the right and left button, but how can i start to play the iso. it doesn't work no matter which buttons i press. Any bros can help?!

eric, you should try putting in a umd. that worked for most of us. u select the game u are emulating via GAME>>> UMD. hope this helps

i've downgraded my 2.71 ta-082 psp just a couple of hours ago... worked fine for me... if you're curious try it... for me, it's better cuz now im on 1.5 and i only need to run devhook instead of going to photos over and over again. as i've said, it's up to you.

but i have 2 psp i got the one wuth the ta-082 mobo 2.71 emulating 2.80 n 3.02 and i got another psp version 2.71 emulating 2.80 and 3.02 but im wondering if i can downgrade safely my second psp who dosent have a ta-082 mobo

i think i was confused... im running now on 3.03... i don't know how to use psx games on my psp. psp isos are working just fine... but... still the biggest problem, i want to play FF series on my psp! damn... someone please give me a solution!
i took lburna's advice to downgrade to 1.50 and use devhook 0.52... now as ive said im on 1.5 emulating 3.03 though i am confused i still cant run ff tactics. still goes to squaresoft logo then black screen. anyway i think my psx emulator is stupid... cud someone give me links to a good one. if not, could someone teach me how to work this thing out.

byrd, there's always a chance of a brick... 99% of the time it works... u still have to risk... mine is also ta-082.

I am stuck on the 15th step of the automatic installer
"15.Now Click on start and wait.for about 5-15secs it depends on your memorystick speed,now u will be in 3.02. Press "HOME" button to take off the devhook menu.and do the firmware settings then go check your check you "system information" in system settings".

I got the menu but behind is ablue screen. I pressed O, PSP switched off. after I rebooted it, it still comes back to that blue screen
PLEASE HELP...!!!!
