dvd shrink problem

I recieve the message Failed to read file D:\.. on South Park season 6 disc 1. It analizes to 93% and this is what i get, i got another south park disc and recived the same. Even in dvd fab dycrypter it fails to go past 93% as well. I am also using AnyDVD as well. I have had no problems until this. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you have a bad press if it stops 2 rippers at the same spot. You just need to exchange it for another.
Not sure if I read the statement correctly but, if you are ,you should not use AnyDVD and DVDFAB Decrypter at the same time. If you are not no big deal.

Thanks for the info but Fab decrypter wont finish ripping it. It stops at 95% and says it has encountered an error and cannot continue. I tried to open up what it did rip and Voblonker keeps shutting down as soon as I start, DVD Shrink wont open the files, and AnyDVD has been turned off. This is the second original disc I've tried and both of them are doing the same thing. I'm pretty new to this but I have made alot of discs and never had this problem even on the 06' releases. Thanks. Any new ideas or am I just doing something wrong.

Try ripping the disk using the ripper function in AnyDVD, If that fails then either the DVD-Rom is in need of cleaning or it is a bad press

I've found that every now and then a movie for what ever reason will not copy with DVD Shrink, and the Decrypt tools. I've only found 3 so far, but maybe thats what has happened.....Any one else find this problem.....

I am having the same problem with South Park Season 9 Disk 3. Im ot 100% sure on what percent it goes to, but it was somewhere between 80 and 95. I think Comedy Central has some kind of copy protection.

Welcome to the forum. Shrink has not been updated in at least 3 - 3 1/2 years. Try ripping the DVD to the HD using Ripit4Me or DVDFAB Decrypter. If it fails w/ those programs then the disk is a bad mastering press or there are unrecoverable scratches on it.
You are to be commended for using the search function of the forum as most people do not and as this thread had not had any comments in about 6 months. Again thanks for properly using the search function.
