appreciate the info there Jasper. might have to get some of those OD brand DVD. Hopefully they will be better than the last batch i bought, which i had to return because my burner would not even burn on them. Most of the 75 my burner would not even read them. took them back and got my money back.

Go to Best Buy & grab those Verbs before Sunday.
They're only $12.99 for 50 this week.
Office Max "Sale Price" ($16.99) next week is not bad, but $12.99 beats it big time! :o
Edit: Good price on the Fujis, If you can find any MIJs.

i just picked up 4 50 packs. i just like to have some of those "other" type, so that if somebody needs a backup, those are what i use. not my good Verbs.

I've never had a problem with the Office Depot Disks, been using them now for three years,(Started witht he 4X media) and if you bring an empty inkject cartridge in, it will save you another $3.00, can't beat that deal eh?

Yes,, can't wait to get my hands on another spindle. I've never had any problems with Ritek disks in the 3 years I've been backing up movies.

9mmruger1- I don't know either ,For sure the last batch I bought were in 50ct. spindles and they were Ricohjpn if I remeber rightly ! where as the 100cts. spindles were Ritek's Go figure ? Atleast it appears that OD has gone back to the all DVD spindles instead of the 75/25 Dvd /Cd splits they've been selling lately & I'm all for that! Hopefully we'll all find out soon ! @Bigtoxy, they still had lots of the 75/25 combo packs in my area, they don't seem to move out very well, especially with all the good sales on Verbs, Sony, or Maxell in the past few weeks. But, I hope that they do decide to go back to Ritek for their branded type of house media.

I had some pretty good burns with the P-16's last time I used them. For the money that is an excellent buy. I will be looking forward to giving them a try again, especially once I flash my BenQ 1650 with the BCIC firmware.

i've never had any problems with these either...i've burned a few hundred of these and not a single coaster.

While I understand that the OD DVD's aren't as good as the Verbs, they're still quite reliable?

I've found them to be almost as reliable as the Ty and Verbs, always have played well in the standalone players I have, including the wife's Minivan from hell DVD player. (Where most of the back up disks end up, that thing eats disks alive on road trips.)I've probably burned more OD disks than any other brand.

that spindle that i took back was the 75\25 split. the first two discs were good, no problems, they were ritek, but the rest and i mean every one of them were FUJI, i dont know what happened but my burner would take at least 2 minutes to read the dvd, then when i went to burn, it would just kick them out. still trying to figure that one out. put a verb in and no problem. it is kinda like my burner is addicted to verbs.

I sincerly hope That OFFICEDEPOT has come back to it;s senses & done away with their 75/25 DVD/Cd split spindles . Whether The idea was a marketing gimmick or just a way to unload their stock of old CDR media is hard to say for sure . regardless I never bought into it. A Good quality DVD @ .20 to .25 cents is a bargain a Blank Cdr @ those prices less so . Besides I'm CDR out the wazzoo already ! The only question left is whether the 100ct. OD's will be the Riteks like the last few 100Ct. spindles I've bought or Ricoh's like the last 2 50ct. tubs I bought ? either way I suppose I & or we will find out soon- Happy Bargain Hunting & Burning !

@BlivetNC that fuji disc i got as a sample that coded as the ritek you get from OD burned great for me.Put Curious George on it for the boys....
