CRC Error Using DVD Shrink and AnyDVD

I recently started using DVD Shrink without any problems. Yesterday I was able to copy a movie but today, I am getting this error message: "Failed to read file D:/ DVD Shrink encountered an error & cannot continue Data Error ( Cyclic Redundancy Check.) I downloaded AnyDVD to see it it would help and it did not. I get to about 9% encoding before this error message is displayed. Please help!!!!

Welcome to aD.
If AnyDVD is running then it probably means the disc is dirty, scratched or a bad press. Try cleaning it off.

You can also try using the ripper in AnyDVD to rip to your hard drive tehn open those files in Shrink.

What movie are you getting this error on?

Yeah, CRC errors have nothing to do with the ripping programs. You could get that on any data DVD because the disc is bad. With AnyDVD, it'll show you a pop-up box asking you if you want to skip these errors. If you click yes, it will just skip the bad sectors but if there is enough of them, they will show up as freezing and skipping on the movie. DVD Decrypter has a check-off option where you can tell it to automatically skip errors, so you might want to use it combined with AnyDVD.
