Anyone backup this game yet? mine booted up fine.
but the fmv voice is laggy & when i enter a Battle the disc says: READING DISC
the iso is 4.32GB i think. anyone have problem backing up this game?
Backup the game with Taiyo Yuden DVD-R 4X. Burn at 2x with DVD Decrypter.booted with swap magic 3.6

Use better media. Working perfectly on RITEK G05 8x DVD-R burnt at 4x.
I DO NOT rate Taiyo Yuden at all.

I used Verbatim 16x DVD+R and yes the voice is laggy and the "Reading Disk" pops up every once in a while but that's about it.

It is great. Half way through playing it & still no "READING DISC" message at any point whatsoever. RITEK G05 rule!! When will evryone else realise this fact?

this sucks my copy isnt even working and i use taiyo yuden 8X dvd +R booktyped to a dvd rom just bought them too and now some people say that RITEK G05 DVD-R is flawless burns what is the success rate? i need to be sure that im goig to buy the right product and have full excpectations from it

I used Taiyo Yuden TYG02 and the game runs flawlessly. I'm using a DMS4 Pro SE modchip too, so there's no need for rebuilding mine. If you're using swap magic, you might want to rebuild it. Also, Taiyo Yudens are one of the best media you can use and I've never had any problems with them. Riteks are good too, and I've never had any problems with them either. Office Depot DVD-R's are Ritek G05, so that's one way of getting them at a low price.

i already rebuilt it and burned it two times and the laser isnt moving from there tried the other backup games and they work is it cause im booktyping the game to dvd rom

Booktyping doesn't hurt your copy -- It can only help. I don't know what to say other than try burning at a slower speed. If worse comes worse, try burning at a higher speed.

@ all the people who say taiyo yuden is shit or GO5 is good or 16x verbatim is shit etc.
These are all just OPINIONS NOT FACTS people should stop saying things like this because it misleads the noobs.
just because some disks work or dont work on ur ps2 doesnt mean its good or crap so stop commentiong like this.
if your wondering which DVD's are good and which are shit check out the stickies. and these are reinforced with FACTS NOT OPINIONS. remember though that these values are just 'on paper' you must bear in mind that all PS2s are difrent, some like memorex, some like taiyo yuden so before you take into consideration that taiyo yuden is shit just cos it dont work on someone elses PS2 READ the stickis, theres a guide ther on which is good and bad media

When I say RITEK are great & TY are crap, it IS based on fact!
The quality of a disc is based on its reflectivity, first & foremost, & burn testing, and RITEK has better reflectivity than TY and most of the other discs listed in the best media thread, because of its much deeper dye colour & a 100% burn success rate on several different versions of PS2, yet that list has RITEK as Grade 3, and TY as Grade 1.
The list is outdated to be honest, and should be a Grade 1 media, with many of the listed Grade 1 & 2 media moved down.

I totally agree with you on that one, and noobs should really read the stickies before asking questions like these. I recommend Yudens and Verbatims not only from experience, but also from reading the stickies and countless threads with noobs asking the same questions over and over again. Of course, you're PS2 may be "special" or "different," so Yudens might not work out with your system. I remember several months ago, a certain someone was bashing on Taiyo Yuden just because they had a bad experience with them. Anyway, Yuden is highly ranked among these forums, so if noobs want to think Yudens are crap just because one person says so, then so be it. But before they do, they should really do some research. There are tools to test if your disc is good or not. As for Office Depot DVD-R's, I can't say all of them are Riteks, but the 8x DVD-R that I've bought are, and there are some other people who bought the same thing and they turned out to be Riteks too.

Riteks are actually listed as 2nd class. But I agree that it should be moved up.
Let's not turn this topic into another media thread. We get enough of those already. Keep this thread true to the subject and talk about Valkyrie Profile 2 problems. I remember a time when I used to use Swap Magic that Yudens weren't working too well with DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi, so I switched to RICOHJPN (Rico, Ritek) and it worked flawlessly. You might want to do the same thing and get a few other brands just in case you have troubles with the media your using. I did the same thing with Magna Carta too, and it worked wonders. I don't get those problems with a modchip anymore though.

yo but guys i have read several people saying that there is a data loss with ritek g05 in 3 months or something like that. For example a person burned a game it looked like this when he burned it
3 months later
this brand degrades
or this just burned and scaned
and this is a different burn and is scaned two months later
i dont know how ritek g05 are working for some people and nothing happens in two or three months maybe its some disc type like printable not working and others types are working what type do you use ace1uk eg. prinable hub, silver matel, etc. cause if yours works and you had it for more than three months than it must be the proble with atype of disc

ye i know riteks arent perfect they only get a quality score of bout 65 but theyre good 'enough' i personally use riek go4 because theyre cheap but theyre the same as go5. and its not true that they lose data after 3 mnths.

Games I burnt 4 - 5 years ago on RITEK still work as well today as the day they were burnt. And I've used both silver surface printable & matt printable, there's no difference.
And there is a difference between G04 & G05. G04 = 4x discs, G05 = 8x discs. Quality is the same though.
