i tried burning valkarie profile 2 on tdk but it just wont boot it think there is a problem with the order i used to rebuild it i put
1. IOPRP300.IMG
2. SYSTEM.CNF
3. VP2_N.BIN
4. VP2_NB~1.1
5. SLUS_214.52
i dont think there is a problem with the discs is this how the order should be for rebuilding it.
btw the size is 4,552,064
can someone help me

does the game need to be rebuilt? if your using swap magic it probably does i cant remember what size it needs to be for needing to be rebuilt. as for the method try using gnies expert rebuilder, this is the simplest method, there is guides on wer to get it and how to use it in the stickies, also what is the media id of those tdk disks can u post them on your reply

Swap Magic Boot Discs only have a TOC size of around 4.35GB
the meadia code is TTH02 is the order of rebuild correct
tried geinie expert and ps2 says its not a formatted ps2 disc on a red screen

Try burning SLUS_214.52 ahead of the other files. I had that problem with Shadow of Rome and switching the order fixed it.

yeah this game is jump as hell burnt to g05 havent test much but from the start its not very helpful tried re-burning but have got round to test
i would recommend ty/verbs or g05 any day but you can still relie on g05's (only full face print or tango organge when you can get them)

im having probs to i rebuilt it still same size i used iso buster not working i usedgnie tool rebuild that didnt work either still same size is there a way to shrink it please help!!!!!!

try extracting the files with iso buster after that put the extracted files in order looking from the proper filelist that ace1uk posted to cd dvd generator and put the disc name and the producer and license area in the volume section and press file and hit export iml file and then open cd dvd iml 2 iso and open to where you save the iml file and press iml 2 iso this will shrink it i am going to see if my copy works with the proper filelist tell you how it goes.
P.S. if it doesnt shrink then theres something with your iso i always use this method and it works

thats exactly what i did and it didnt work usually all my other games i do it on work. this one just doesnt want to shrink!!!!!

are you sure the game already hasnt been rebuilt cos if it has then you wont be able to make it any smaller

I didnt rebuild this game, just burnt onto Taiyo Yuden DVD+R 8x which I booktyped to DVD-ROM. Plays fine without the 'reading disc' message.
However, I must always burn at 6x (and not 4x) or all the FMV's get choppy !
I guess I was lucky to find the combination of disc and speed that suits my PS2 - maybe try at 6x itachi64 ??

i use maxell which is ritek.. should i burn it without rebuild?? but i thought swap magic wont boot it if its to big! i burn all my games at 2.1 and have had no probs yet lol

Maxell is NOT RITEK, I can assure you!
And Swap Magic will boot any game up to 4.35Gb. Valkyrie Profile 2 is under that size, and can't be shrunk by rebuilding anyway. You can only shrink through rebuilding if; (a) There's a dummy file that takes up space on the disc, or, (b) the game uses a false TOC through LBA file positioning. VP2 has neither. The files add up to the total size of the image.

actually some media like verbatim or maxell can be manufactured by other manufacturers like ritek which ,makes those disks ritek. eg i once bought a batch of verbatims and itt turned out that the media id was cmc magnetics which made the disks cmc magnetix so i went and gave them back
anyway itachi those yudens that your using, they seem to be tdk but u still shoudnt have any issues cos tdk is still top class and what exacly is the problem does the screen go black after the ps2 logo?

my taiyo yuden code DVD+R:YUDEN000-T02-000
and tdks are TTH02
they are two seperate discs and taiyo yuden is better than the tdk i just tested it on both of them to see if the game works.
just borrowed a RITEK G05 blank disc from my friend and burned the game and it still doesnt work.WHY
