wrong thread to post. most psp brand new are TA-082 so i say buy of a mate. if u buy a new one youll nneed ot use henc method and with TA-082 u cant downgrade and us ethis guide or anyother way to customize psp

1. on the blue menu described in the tutorial which of the four options do you pick or dou you just restart the psp?

it restores the corrupt information. if u get a new psp for zmas it will TA-082 and this guide wil be useless to u.

Hi guys,
Noob Alert!!!
Ok I got 2 fresh PSPs that have been updated to 2.71 firmware ... then I downgraded them using Downdater/Downgrader 2.71 Full by Dark Alex ...
I have now installed DevHook 0.46 using the Ultimate Installer 1.1.1 by ChaosZero ...
Question: Can I use Harleyg's Dual-boot Firmware at this point or do I need to do other stuff? ...
Not really interested in Homebrew to much but would want to use it no & again for backing up UMDs & playing a few games ...

Do you really need X-Flash though if you don't want to customize EBOOTs? ... is this needed for Harleyg's Dual-boot Firmware?

What I have found out ... by myself ... :)
All I wanted was the latest goodies with dualboot ... so this is what I done ...
1: A fresh PSP updgraded to 2.71 then flashed using Dark Alex's 2.71 SE-A Build 2 Firmware Full installer by Chaos Zero
2: Installed DevHook 0.46 Ultimate Installer 1.1.1 by ChaosZero - could this be skipped if installing DevHook Launcher VSHEX Mod 1.65b by Chunglam?
3: Copied DevHook Launcher VSHEX Mod 1.65b by Chunglam - overwriting the other DevHook that was installed earlier
4: Copied Harleyg's Dual-boot Firmware to MS and ran that to install/flash the firmware
5: I deleted the old DevHook 0.46 Ultimate Installer icons from the game directory - don't need them now with DevHook Launcher VSHEX Mod 1.65b on there
6: I deleted Harleyg's Dual-boot Firmware from the MS - needed once only
I didn't install X-Flash 15f by Art - I didn't want to customize the look of the PSP
I didn't install Dark Alex's Custom Firmware POC (don't think that was necessary as I think Harleyg's Dual Firmware done something ... dunno)
I can now run to a 1.50 ... or 2.71 (while holding left trigger) ... I can run ISOs/CSOs via VHEX MOD ... complete with icons, etc
That's all I wanted to do ... well happy ...

Should be fine ... No version 2.00's should have the TA-082 board in them ... My mates PSP had a UK 2.00 firmware and was ok ... but just check though just in case it hasn't been downgraded to a 2.00 ...

i just follow the guide to have the best of 1.5 version but when i launch devhook and have 2.71 version and tried to open internet browser it doesnt work. can anyone tell me what went wrong tnx!

What's your PSP setup? from start to finish tell me what u done to downgrade to 1.50 ...
It might be DevHook that's the problem ...

tnxs gem, but i have v1.5 and i just follow frankie's guide then i try to check my browser, at first its working but on second try it doesnt work anymore. i think i've deleted some files. what do u think gem?

plz someone help me!!! i sold my brand new psp and went out to an old pawn shop to get a psp that wasnt ta-bleh. come to find out that the firmware is also 1.5!!!! that was the good news... now i downloaded the proof of concept zip thing and the xflash program but i am such a nub! i really need help... like honestly. i dont wanna put those %custom proof files in the wrong folder and brick this thing... plz someone help me. i am willing to send cash via paypal or snailmail for an IM explaining step by step and more for a phonecall... plz help this nub trick out his psp.... went through a hell of a lot of trouble to get it :(
