i just got updates yesterday without a problem, so i'm pretty sure it's not the site. have you tried uninstalling Ad-Aware, running a registry cleaner, and reinstalling?

yeah, i can, but it won't fix your problems in the future. you need to reinstall and determine if your issues run any deeper than just with Ad-Aware.
you can get it here

Uninstalled Ad-Aware, ran RegSeeker, comes up with 854 entries. Some RED, some Green. Should I delete them all?

i haven't used RegSeeker, but as a shot in teh dark, i'd say yes. also run CCleaner, Spybot S&D, and your antivirus. then reinstall Ad-Aware. that should take care of any minor things.
