I've never been to England but I had a friend who was a London police officer here on some sort of exchange thing....he stated often that England and the US are very much alike in a great many ways and he also often added that Philadelphia seemed like it was taken straight from the pages of Charles Dickens (it wasn't a compliment).
I was born in the US but raised in Canada (Quebec). While any government will, by its very nature, have shortcomings, the canadian government and people really have their act together. The well being of the population if of far greater concern than it is here in the US.
LOL! We haven't much need of a fence on the canadian border to keep out them pesky illegal canadians though some canadians might think it worth the expense LOL!
In the jokes forum, I read something like the following: "Canadians and Americans are similar in the sense that they'll both cross their southernmost borders to buy goods for less in a more backwards nation". LOL!

@dgstrain...I know what you are saying but I guess all things are relative. When my relatives come to Philly, from canada, they say the same thing...how can you live in this sh**hole of a city!
There is a guy in our office who doesn't like canadians (or anyone else for that matter). He says all canadians are envious of us. And my reply is always "envious of what? Take a look out the window ... no where in canada will you see a neighborhood that bad! Just what are they jealous of?"

oh, all us midwestern good ol' boys love the classics. i can't tell you how many times my dreams were filled with hemi's, and 454's, and 428's, and the beautiful sheet metal wrapped around them. ^.^

@Tucker ... 21 days. Wow. Time sure flies. I'll have to think of something special to do this year. Since I won't be traveling North to be with my family this year, I think I'll throw a christmas dinner for whichever buddies who have nowhere to go.

I like this setup but this year im hoping to get the turntable setup in that movie that has Danny DeVito in it, the lights change according to how the tables.
