Can anyone help me? I use AnyDVD with shrink and Nero 6.6.0.18 and when I go to back up with shrink my burn speed is either maximum or 16x. How can I set it to burn at 4x. Thanks.
I have a question, How do u get Shrink to see the speed of 16x, I have the latest firmware for my burner and I'am using 16x DVD's and Shrink still burns at 8x, all my other programs burn at 16x like CloneDVD 2 and DVDFab Platinum. How can fix Shrink to burn at 16x
I get the same thing on one of my backup pcs,with just a single drive burner. Using DVD Shrink and autoburning with Nero,I get the options of 2.4x and max. Unfortunantly,burning +8x sony on a benq will go 16x if left at the max speed setting. Burning at 2.4x gives me the most playback issues.
On that pc, I'll run my normal backup process-but I remember where those files go. Create another folder with that title's name-to make it easy to find. When the original spits out,cancel out.Those files are on your harddrive,already encoded,quality enhancements done,and size set according to your target size. You can make extra copies from the file if need be.
After aborting the burn:
Insert blank/ open up dvd shrink/open files tab/find that movie/OK/it'll do another very quick 30 sec analysis and the movie files will open up. Then click backup.Check the burn speed tab.Click the V for burn speed. You should have all possible burn speeds available. Make sure you have about 5 extra gbs of free hd space.Those files have to go somewhere,so use an old movie folder or create a special folder for old dvds.
Using dual drives,it'll show you all burn speed increments.
I also run 1 SCSI 9gb 1 SCSI 18 and one IDE 80gb
I always send the files to the 80gb
CloneDVD burns at 16x
DVDFAB at 16x and even Nero Recode burns at 16x but Shrink wont
My DVD burner is a HP dvd640 with Lightscribe
