Ok ,I saw this somewhere and cant find it!!! Is there really a v4.0? Has ANYONE used it or tried it? Is it free? I tried downloading A version but turned out to be Fake! A little help please...

There is a dvd shrinker 4.0 that is NOT the orginal DVD Shrink.
Plus it's not free like the original.
Never used it and very doubtfully I ever will.

The last version of the free & original DVD Shrink is 3.2.0.15.

Ya I thought as much. I have the orig. but was hoping for an updated one. I guess we are all SOL on that eh?! If you know of any better ripers other than Clone...Let me know. I use DVD Shrink fist, then clone dvd2 as back up, then if all fails I will use DVD Decrypter. So far I have had few probs with what I use.I do like new programs though, I always try to stay updated.BTW I think Slysoft is the bomb and well worth the money if the free tools dont work for ya!

Nah darth71 I think we are sol like you said on the an updated free original DVD Shrink. It hasn't been updated in over 2 years. The developer went to work w/ Nero. Don't know if he's still there though.

Try RitIt4Me - a newer program that used Shrink and Decrypter also - 2 of my old fav's. Handles all the new stuff.

I used it several Sony and Disney's ones - works well.

Yep AnyDVD is great - have it & Clone DVD also. But like to play around and use other programs too!

If you want an upgrade in DVD Shrink, then get Nero Ultra Suite, Nero Recode is the upgrade. The guy who wrote Shrink also did Nero Recode which is a little better than Shrink. BUT not free.
