I know this is a big question but what advantages does one machine have over another.I think I will go with the 360 but is it worth the wait for the PS3?

The PS3 isn't out yet, so no one can tell if it has better or worse graphics than the Xbox360. So no one, at this point, can answer your question.

See on November 11 or 17th all of the reviews around, they will tell you all about the PS3 featues, graphics and so.

i have an xbox 360 and have no complaints so far, the games are good and the xbox live is brilliant as with the original xbox, but sony are going way too far, they even sent round a questionaire asking if people would like an online based service with features like a friends list, chatting across different games... sound familiar? yes they are going to copy xbox live, but we won't fall for any cheap copies. in my opinion i think the ps3 will still sell loads, even though it can currently only be used in true hd on a sony bravia or something like that... oh and it cant play normal dvds.. only Blu-ray ones. so really i think the xbox 360 will have turned more heads

YOU win some, YOU lose some, either way I WIN

That statement is totally wrong. The PS3 HAS to be able to read DVD-ROM and CD-ROM because the ps3 is backwards compatable with the ps2 and the ps1. And Blu-ray can read DVD Movies as well as Blu-ray ones.

It uses both the blue and red lasers.

And can anyone post a link as to where it states the ps3 games will only be on bluray?
