I am having an issue in which DVD Shrink shuts down after I have opened the disk and I hit backup. Has anyone else ran into this issue? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck.

This is most likely caused by an encryption issue that shrink can't handle, so try using an alternate like DVDfab decrypter to rip the DVD video files files with. When DVDfab is done open them using shrink and proceed as you normally would.

Get DVDFab here (it's free);

Last, you can try using AnyDVD (free for 21 days);

NOTE: Other members have also stated that when-ever they click backup, DVD Shrink disappears/quits after a few seconds. The solution has been to disable "Burn With Nero" in shrinks preferences.
