RipIt4Me handled this one no problem.
Looks like this one didn't have any hefty encryptions.

Looks like Shrink can handle this one by it's lonesome.
Used AnyDVD & Recode - good backup and good action movie too!! (even though Tom Cruise is in it :)

Do you folks all work at Video stores or something? How do so many folks get movies before the release dates. I know that Blockbuster and the like get them a week or so early, but don't put them out until they are released. What's up with the Monday release date on this anyway?

I got lucky and found it at K-Mart yesterday. I was going to just buy it Tuesday along with the usual DVDs, but I couldn't pass it up.

Maybe the release date is affected by Halloween being Tuesday night! Just a guess. They're releasing them here in LA. at 8:00 PM.Monday.

a friend of mine works for Blockbuster and he told me that 2 or 3 times a year certain movies will come out and they will release a day earlier than the rest. he said, they do this because the movie companies believe they will get a better response releasing them at different times than other movies. i dont know, makes no sense to me. if you think back the last couple of Tom Cruise movies were released at weird times. kinda goes along with Tom Cruise being weird.

What's the point of creating a post for a disc which doesn't have any problems being ripped?

I assumed there'd be a problem ripping this disc since there was a post for it. How about we start posts for each of the other thousands of discs which rip without a problem?

It's a big movie and people are going to post about it. If you don't like how people post, I'd suggest finding a different forum. Differing opinions are going to be around longer than you and I are and it's easier to just roll with the flow rather than just be an ass about some things.

Exactly, so why not take your own advice? I didn't call anyone an ass, not even you.

Children! children! play nice now. I just backed up this one on a +RDL. Not a problem with AnyDVD and ImgBurn ISO build and write. As Franster said some people do want to know about the new big movies before they get them. :)

I'm one that likes to read the advance posts on what a disc has on it.
I only sometimes buy them early - retailers get them early too besides BB.
Yes I know I can backup it no matter what it has on it - but still like the advance notice.
@garmoon
Now I think you'll like this one :)

Binkie, i agree with you. even though the disk may be easy to backup, i still like to know what is going on with that disc.

I like reading what a disc has too, even though I have AnyDVD.
Anyway, even though this was set to be released on Monday, on Sunday night, Blockbuster had this out on the shelves. But in Best buy, they were waiting for Monday.
If I'm not mistaken, isn't Keeping up with the Steins coming out on an "odd" day? Isn't it Wednesday? I haven't seen it early at any store.
Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie
