I saw some of the helpful tips everyone was getting here, and needed one myself that no-one was having. Big Orange helped someone here which is a similar problem to mine.
the problem i have is. I tried to shrink and burn a movie from the disk drive it came up with a Data Redundacny Error, so i used DVD Decrypter and saved it on my hard drive. Then i went to shrink and tried opening file and it came up with the following message:
Invalid File in C:\Madagascar\VTS_08_1.VOB.
and it has this error message on many of the other VOB files.
Either Use VobBlanker or FixVTS before using Shrink and that will fix the problem
So heres a guide for DVDFab+Vobblanker+Shrink just skip down and start at the VobBlanker part since u have the files on ur HDD already.
You guy's beat me to it. Just to sort of reiterate,There are many, many avenues you can go down as everyone here will eventually tell you. I love DVDFab and DVDShrink.
You can also try VobBlanker after you?ve decrypted. This corrects bad structures and or strips them out
Another successful one that quite a few are cottoning on to is ripit 4me. And then theres fixvts. The list goes on and on and they are all free.
You guys are soooooooo great. thanx for helping me out. It did work but i've suddenly developed another problem.
i tried shrinking some dvds of Prison Break.
Firstly opened it in DVDFAB Decrypter = which worjed and everything was fine, Then i tried shrinking it using DVD Shrink but it kept coming up with this message.
DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
Programming error - exception occured
The handle is invalid
Then it comes up with the message.
DVD Shrink has encountered a problem and needs to close.
We are sorry for the inconvienience.
With these tabs at the bottom
Debug, Send error report, Don't send
So then i tried doing it in DVDFAB Decrypter, Vob Blanker v2.1.1.0 and then Dvd Shrinker.
But it didn't let me go through the Voblanker and crashed with the same message.
Voblanker V2.1.1.0 has encountered a problem and needs to close.
We are sorry for the inconvienience.
