not sure about sony's, if there is a white spacer in the spindle they are supposed to be good. this is what i hear. if you have best buy or office depot they usully have good sales. check sunday's ads. verbatims, ty's and maxells are good. supermediastore.com has great deals, check them out.

Well done ace, but this is a forum and when people have problems they come here for help. How about contributing something to the discussion instead of it works 'a ok for me'. Its not like its one person thats struggling either so you can't blame this on crappy media as i use the same as you are!

there he is

Yes! I too need to know what Sony discs to use. I will definitely pop into my local ASDA to purchase these Sony DVD's as soon as I find out what type they are. Can someone tell me what Sony discs to use? Thanks. :)

ahh, they would still work though, all I would have to do is change the book type, but I would still rather have -R's lol cause I can't seem to find good quality +R media.

lol do ya'll never read the stickies? brands don't matter. if you can find MIJ sony which are taiyo yuden you're set. verbatim and taiyo yuden are best for insured quality and availability. never use cheap. brands don't matter always use mcc or tayio yuden

Well I've been using the Sony DVD-R's and I have the same problem with the track being loaded. I have made over a 100 games with these SONY dvds before I started running into problems with this game and Bully and also the Sopranos. I think it might be that these games work the laser a little harder and they are killing the weak lasers.

It plays perfect for me, burnt to Verbatim DVD-R 16x at 4x (normally i burn at 2x) but because i had long loading times with The Sopranos i thought i would try burning this at 4x and it paid of :), im using swap magic 2
