My first posting, so please be gentle on me...lol..
I have been using DVD Shrink for quite some time now, and I love this program.. I tossed in a disc and when I clicked on "Open File" chose what drive had the disc I wanted to back up and clicked OK.. I got this message..."DVD Shrink Encountered and Error and cannot Continue"... "Invalid DVD Navigation Structure"..
I tried looking this up in the help files and could not find anything, I tried several discs that I have backed up before and still I get the same error meaasage..
I Uninstalled the program, downloaded the latest version, which seemd to be the same as I already had DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15 (seems to be another out there but everyone wants all kinds of info and $$$)
I was hoping someone reading this could give me a little insight on what I am seeing. The program worked fine last time I used it..about 3 days ago. I have not had any system problems and have not loaded anything new on my machine, nor unistalled anything.. except for DVD Shrink just before this post
I appreciate your time, and look forward to any reply that can help...
Sounds like you ran into some newer copy protection is all.
There are a couple ways to get through that, it depends on who you ask. My method is using AnyDVD and run it in the background and you will be back to business as usual. There is a 21 free trial for it to see if you like it or not. After that it's $39.00 for a lifetime subscription. Well worth it in my opinion.
I'll let the others tell you about the other methods to use, because I know less about them.
Good luck though.
So AnyDVD can run when DVD Shrink is open is what your saying? Maybe it is some new protection, it is a S*NY Disc, which newer releaes from S*NY will not back up at all for me, but they usually send my DVD43 (which I run in the background) thru a loop and it gets all freaked out.. Didn't happen with this one though..
I'll check into what you suggested, afterall it's a free version for a couple weeks.. and if it works I'll be happy..
There's other free alternative (i.e. DVDFAB Decrypter and RipIt4Me) if your interested. Give the 2 guides below a shot and see how you like. Afterall, they're both FREE.
**NOTE: all FREE tools are included inside guides
Here's an all FREE guide, DVDFAB+VobBlanker+ DVD Shrink+ImgBurn - just skip step #2 (VobBlanker), unless your an advanced user and know where/what to blank out (i.e. FBI Warnings, Trailers/Advertise, Extras, etc.)

Definitely sounds like encryption problem especially being a Sony movie. The free way is good, but the AnyDVD way is a lot easier and there is no learning curve. Just keep using what you have been using and let AnyDVD run in the back ground. And if you run AnyDVD get rid of DVD43! JM2C
THANK YOU !!!!!! This is AWESOME, it worked like a charm. Easy to use and understand, the step by step were right on the money.. I am Very Happy now... Thanks Again and Enjoy The Show !!!!!
