i know i must be doing something wrong..
but i rip whole disc with DVDFab Decrypter 3.0.3.0 to hd open shrink
open file button click main movie and unable to retrieve. i know they are there the file is 8.84gb

Have you tried the latest DVDFab decrypter - 3.0.3.5?
If not give that one a go.
It looks more like something went wrong w/ dvdfab ripping.

hey binkie
whats new
its weird after all that i opened disc loaded and analyzed then hit back up encoded to same folder now its almost 12gb .seems like it gone to burn. i am confused due to this is a new movies and would think shrink is unable to do it with ripping?
getting around to the dl of dfab 3.0.3.5 soon i hope

I don't remember this one having anything that special on it. May have some invalid vobu's at most. Shrink will bomb on those too though.
Not all new movies have the latest junk on them so still quite a few Shrink can do by itself.
Don't save to the same folder - it will be it 12+ gig cause you're adding the files that shrink is saving to your hard drive to the ones from DVDFab. Shrink will usually give you a message though saying something like 'folder not empty do you want to delete files'.

Sometimes - haven't in the past month.
I've been using RipIt4Me more. But I also have AnyDVD & Clone.
I like to use and try the different ones.

I just glanced thru it but why not try ImgBurn or Decrypter to burn and see if that makes a diff w/ RipIt4Me.
You can set your backup target in Shrink to 'iso and burn w/ decrypter'. It will open decrypter to burn. Or just set it as an iso file. Then use ImgBurn to burn it once Shrink is done.
It's very odd that one combo works and the other one doesn't esp since they both use the same burning engine Nero's Burning Rom.

thats what i was thinking .. the way the files are being arranged which brings me to think possible that it is ripit or fix causing my concern. but give me a day or so and will set it to use imgburn if i can figure it out. wasted 6 disc already .whats a few more lol !
do you follow the giude on ripit to the letter?

Pretty much though I saved FixVTS.exe to my desktop and not a folder they recommended in their guide. Just pointed RipIt4Me there.
I'll try and go thru the RipIt4Me log to see if I see anything - may not be able to tell. Do you have another one you could post in this thread?
Hey at least discs are like 30 cents :0)

The windows message you get is ok for RipIt4Me if you got it thru their update opinion or their site- just warning you to be careful - couldn't verify the signature.
I would burn w/ ImgBurn. Let Shrink save an iso then open ImgBurn and burn it. You can get a tweak for Shrink to have it autoburn w/ ImgBurn.

I did RV w/ RipIt4Me - turned out good.
I'm not the best at reading these logs but I did check your settings against mine and all looks okay there. Don't really see anything else that may be a problem except updating FixVTS to 1.60:

You can see in the log it did clean up a bunch of junk and useless cells/files this movie was filled with.
See how ImgBurn does burning.

i already updated fixit.i have been encoding for about 58 mins already have 25 to go then the burn. will check disc in morning to see if dvd plays... i hope so:)

That's a long time to encode and all born2ride.
Older pc maybe?
Keeping up on the maintenance bit - disc cleanup, defrag, registry cleaner and running anti virus & spyware scans?
All drives in DMA mode?

things work slow on this pc.lol but i getting it to work faster
dvd worked in the morning but i think shrink did it.(i took wrong file) have to check that .
checked dma ok.

the movies plays. but i can not figure what file it came from.
i was in the middle of a few things.(more like getting rushed) lol
i am going to try another one the dukesofhazzard.
first off i printent the guide ripit, followed step by step and
it works fine but, i did full dvd . when i inserting dvd the movie just come on and plays first. then at end of disc i have menu and special features .
now thats the stange part is want all.i did not delete them .any thoughts. i did play with shrink custom compression

Hmmm did you by chance click the option b/4 Shrink is opened to 'jump to 1st vaild menu' in FixVTS?
The one time I used thing opinion it did go to the menu (unlike yours) and the special features where at the end like you describe.
