You are really cool friend, yes the phones are locked with VODAFONE. I Just phoned my friend in Germany whom we purchased together the same phones and he told me its VODAFONE...i hope you can help now!
I also got another problem, i purchased also Motorola c625 (Tchibo) with Imei numbers:
A:355881004352740, now it requires when i put in the simcard, it says contact the service provider. What might be the problem??

There could be any number of reasons mate, just call them, it might just be you have to register the card.
