Use the search button, but it has been stated that sony will ship 2 mill by the end of the year, also said that will ship weekly or biweekly depending on production after launch.
Quote:Sony expects to ship 100 thousand units every week after today's launch, which should give it total sales of about 400,000 units by the time the Wii is released in December. Coincidently, Nintendo expects 400,000 units to be available Day 1 of its launch in Japan.
may be that is why they lowered their launch figures for japan and why japan is getting fewer units at launch. it would seem in time things almost even out...

i am not saying supply will be in surplus after the 17th or even in February, but just like the 360 stores will receive periodic shipments. its really a matter of timing and hit or miss. its really not a question if people will camp, that i guarantee.
edit, now that i read that...do you mean people camp AFTER the initial launch day? if so then i am sure employees will certainly reveal to family and friends when the next shipment is coming to town. i wouldn't think you would see people camping a day before they get their shipments, but i wouldn't be surprised if people showed up a couple hours before the stores open. not sure if that is really "camping" though...
There is links on the thread 2nd shipment or something like that, and from what I have talking about to my sister who is a bestbuy manager, she say it's hit or miss kind of thing so what I would suggest is that you go to bestbuy or whatever store you wish to go to after aweek and then ask, so go everyweek and you will get one before the holidays or at least know when to campout before they hit stores and I will also keep a heads up and let ppl know when they will be available to my fellow gamers.
