Yes the burner can make a difference and especially with Hitachi drives. Pioneer burners seem to work best across the board. People seem to have mixed, but mostly good results with Lite-on, Sony and NEC burner. There are other that work too, but I can't think of them at the moment. Also some burners can't properly booktype to DVD-ROM so those are worthless for 360 back ups.

memnock sounds cool bringing the xbox360 with family, cool stuff...

Im going to be using a nec 3500ag with memorex (bah) media for now. Please, i know verbatim's are the holy grail, but verbatims dual layers are a little difficult to find over here. So i said fuc*** it and took advantage and got the memorex's , good deal too got like 25 for $30 bucks. Hey why not give it a try right? If they dont work i can always sell on ebay.. maybe they;ll work just fine, but im definately buying verbatims on ebay later...

Yeah it was cool. You can see what we mostly from my gamertag right now. Gears and Smackdown was played too. My wife's sister husband (does that make him my brother-in law too?) wants to get a 360 badly now. My nephew's friend is going to try to get his dad to get him one as well. Of course he wants me to flash it for him.

I never heard of that burner before, but I looked it up at http://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters.php?...0&Search=Search
and as you can see from the link it can be made by different manufacturers. I guess it could work, but I'd get a different myself.
