DVD Shrink Burning stopped.

I have DVD Shrink and have been using it fine for the past year. Now all of the sudden it started shutting down on its own, so I uninstalled it and re downloaded it. Problem now is it will open and back-up movies, but will stop right at the burning stage and sy please insert disc.....disc type DVD+r9 double layer. It won't accept my DVD+R blank discs. The same ones I been using for years. Help!!!

Hello

Under the Edit menu in Shrink, select Preferences.... Next click the Preferences tab. Under the Target DVD Size dropdown menu, is DVD9 selected? If so change it to Custom and enter 4400 in the MB size box.

Are you autoburning with Nero? If so, what version of Nero?

It's wierd. The promt says insert DVD+R9 Double Layer. But when I went through the edit menu like you said, it said DVD-5. Anyway, I changed it to 4400. We'll see what happens.

Hello again.

Set your target output as an ISO image file instead of autoburning with Nero. The try using ImgBurn to burn the ISO. If that works, then try burning the same ISO image file with Nero. That should sort out where the problem lies.

If you have a Nero log for the burn attempt you can post that as well. Make sure you delete your name and serial number before posting. Only post the section that deals with a failed attempt. Sections begin with a header followed by your name and Nero serial number. The NeroHistory file is one of these paths:

Nero 6: Program Files -> Ahead -> Nero -> NeroHistory
Nero 7: Program Files -> Nero -> Nero7 -> Core -> NeroHistory
