Okay first my problem with Shrink is still on some movies, I get what looks like a distorted picture kind, just like lines a bit hard to explain I know that doesnt help.

AnyDVD on my desktop, shuts down while encoding after like 20 mins but not on my laptop, could that be because I put it on two machines?

And last, what is the big difference between booktyping and not.

What is the percentage at as you are shrinking the file? Are you using Advanced Analysis? Example:

There should not be a problem. Maybe try to download the same version again and see if it functions better. If not then there may be an error on your machine that is causing interference.

You only booktype +R DVD to -ROM. This is basically done because many DVD players may not recognize a +R media interface.

Not really any better....You can (generally) only booktype +R media so lots of folks like it for that. Quality wise, if your player can play both flavors, then there will be no difference.

What version of AnyDVD are you running 6.0.8.5 was a real mess up and has since been fixed and up to 6.0.9.0. 8.5 was causing a lot of pc screen freezes and blacked out my monitor. It has been corrected now.
