Possible bricked PSP, please help!!

hello everyone, i was fooling around with x-flash and i changed the opening sound and now my psp wont boot properly, it's not totally bricked because it still turns on, it will even boot games that only require 1.50 firmware, but once i go back into the menu, it gives me the settings are corrupt notice, when i press circle, it just comes right back up (see video) SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!!!

so if u can still boot games and whatnot why not upgrade to 2.00 and then downgrade back to 1.5. Or change the version of your psp to say 1.00 and then re-flash 1.5 with the 1.5 update eboot.

it will only do the autoboot into the game, i cant select anything from the menu i.e. system update, when i try and quit the game, it gives me the blue screen again.

dude the same thing happened to me.
my psp life- 2.01, 2.50, 1.50, 2.00, 1.50, 2.00, 1.50, 2.00, 1.50, 2.71 SE-A, 2.71 SE-B, 2.71 SE-C, 3.02 OE-A, 3.02 OE-B, 3.03 OE-A, 3.03 OE-B, 3.03 OE-C

it actually shows the gameboot screen, waits a few seconds and then it says, the game could not be started.

yo this same thing happen to me lol this is wat u gonna do download the 1.51 update right u gonna leave psp off then connect your psp with the USB and Then Turn on the psp and Hold R Trigger You gonna c a blue screen and it says PRESS START TO ACTIVATE USB MASS or sum thing u gonna press that the open your psp root go to the game folder and make a new folder name UPDATE then drag in the 1.51 eboot update in to that UPDATE folder then wen u done putting that 1.51 EBoot update in the update folder hold the power switch till turns off then turn it back on and HOLD THE R TRIGGER AGAIN you gonna c the blue screen again PRess X then it will update to 1.51 then u gonna have to upgrade to 2.00 then back to 1.50 if u need more help ask iight

Well it looks like the VSH files in flash0: are corrupted and thats why he can't access the XMB. I think the only way he could fix this is by somehow running an update from a UMD without going to the XMB. He could've used the GTA exploit to run a flasher but that game requires a higher firmware, so thats out of the question. So I dont think theres anything you could do except get a modchip.

He doesnt have custom firmware, so he cant go into recovery mode like you can!

do u hold it as sooon as u turn on the psp ?? weelll if not try it cuz i dont got no custom nuthin lol i just down graded to 1.50 from 2.00 and thats it

Really? Are you sure you didn't install Dark_alex's POC without realizing what it was? Because no 1.5 PSP could do that without having Dark_Alex's POC installed.

are u sure u or someone else didnt accidentally install it from x-flash. are u sure a friend didnt do it when he borrowed it maybe.

never lend it out and never use xflash to do it i only used it for the font and back ground
