This Wednesday my xbox 360 was stolen along with about 1500-2000 in good from my house. The police came by and all, but i read that you can get them to contact Microsoft to get them to track the ip addresses of whoever is on an xbox live account (which the bastard is using mine). Right now the case looks closed because the police/detectives havent called me or anything. Is there some other way to initiate the search?

there's not really any legal recourse you can take that i know of. did you have any of the stuff insured? you could go kinda nuts and track the guy down yourself, but he's probably already fenced your stuff.

How do you know they're using your account and didn't just wipe the console before they went on?
There must be a way to track them. Too bad you can't make friends with them over Xbox Live then find them, meet them, and beat the crap out of them.

thing is, i just got off the phone with Microsoft and they game me a reference number so that when the police call back, they can confirm that the console was mine, and they could trace it. Thing is, Deklb County police dont really give a crap about us. Som1 in the neighborhood is breaking in several houses, and i have information on how to stop them, but they dont give a sh%t
