1 extract all the files to psp.
2. go to: photo > hend.

nothing more.

when i start hend what colour shall my psp get?

I am about to downgrade my Version 2.71 PSP and it is a TA-082

Currently, I have a lot of MP3s - Does it matter?

Oh wait, I have a 4 GB Memory Card. I am scared that it might not work if I downgraded it to a version 1.50 (as I heard people saying that version 1.50 doesn't read 4 GB) - Is that true? I am in 50% of downgraded hehe... (I don't wanna brick my PSP :( )

Does anyone have MSN or any Instant messenger to guide me the whole process :) ?

But I really want to use Homebrew...

If you're here, well you can do that for me :)

yes, thats true, 1.50 cant read 4gb mem sticks. what you should do is upgrade to 3.03/3.10 oe (google em) and you can use your 4 gig mem stick with it.

OK, I have my 1 GB (Extra MEM) - I will use it. But wait..

It says,

"a ta-082 unit running 2.71 firmware and HEN-D
to 1.50"

What is HEN-D ?

Mine is only 2.71 TA-082

hen-d is Homebrew Enable Rev. D, its what allows you to start the downgrader so ya, its a MUST.

In Step 7, it says

"7. Once this program is done and loads your XMB again, go back to the GAME menu an dyou will see your Generic downgrader called "Update X.YX"
Load/start this.
"

What is it mean to "loads your XMB again", I mean, what file is it? I am getting a little confuse :)

In the manual that comes with the psp, it tells you want XMB is, XMB = Cross Media Bar aka (in n00b terms) is the menu. So, if you did it right, the psp should restart after it runs hen-d, if it doesnt, keep trying. dont wimp out if the screen turns red, it means it didnt write the files and you need to try again.

it still needs to restart after you run hen-d, if it doesnt, then hen-d isnt enabled.

um...there pronounced FIRMWARE lol, why do people keep calling it firewire? its a cable made by apple, firewire is to apple like usb to pc >.<. 3.10 oe doesnt have xmb customization so you can add your own icons, but 3.03 oe has that. and remember, the OE install has a README in there, it has the instructions too.

Okay, now I have that version, does it have a chance to brick ?

Because I use some homebrew software yesterday and some of them got error... I am scared that it might brick so I am stop using that game(or program)

If you turn off your PSP by holding the power key while it is freezing... Does it make some chance of bricking O.o ?
