it's better to run either 300mhz or 333mhz; i personally use 333mhz if you lower the speed, the game will lag badly. just remember, the faster the speed, the battery life will be shortened.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

I get my 3.53 M33 XMB from CONSOLESPOT.

They have a few there but it is growing daily. Just click on XMB in the navigation bar. You need to register ti the site.

Theres some 3.40 OE themes converted to 3.52 M33 themes HERE (Make sure you download the 3.52 M33 converted themes).

I have downgraded my my TA-082 2.71 to 1.5 and then upgraded to 3.03 OE-A. I can run PS1 games now, but I have problems with running PSP ISO/CSOs from memory stick. Almost all of them give me an error:
"The game could not be started. (80020148)"

Could you please explain to me or direct me to the guides how I can run games like "Naruto ultimate ninja heroes" from my PSP.

Sincerely,
JSBulat.

Here are some tips to follow if you have issues with ISO files running.

Make sure the title of the ISO/CSO is short.

Example:

Correct -- Fifa07.iso
Not Correct -- FIFA-07-[PSP][EUR][www.torrent site.com].iso

Now right click on the ISO/CSO file and choose Properties. Make sure the Read Only and Hidden box is unchecked and the Archive Box is checked.

Go into recovery mode (Hold R shoulder button down while turning on PSP)

Now go to configuration then to UMD MODE and keep pressing X till you see Sony NP9660 NO UMD.

When it is set to the above setting go to BACK and press X.

Now go to ADVANCED and press X.

Go to ADVANCED CONFIGURATION and press X.

Make sure all the settings here are disabled.

Now EXIT out of recovery.

Now try the ISO/CSO.

to larrylje:

Thanks a lot for the detailed manual. I am trying to download 3.52 M33-4 from the link you provide, but with no luck. Maxconsole just don?t allow me to download from it even I have registered there pretty long time. Can I download this file from a different source?

Hi larrylje,

That's me and my problems again :)

I have started with formatting MS. Then I followed the guide and at the point
Quote:
Now go to game Menu Memory Stick and run the M33CREATOR.
I got an error: "The game could not be started. (80020148)"
Then i ran "KXploit Permanent Patcher" as it described in readme file and got an error:"The game could not be started. (8002014C)"
I have verified all file attributes and found that the read only and hidden boxes are unchecked and the archive box is checked.
Do you have any idea how could I fix it?

Sincerely,
JSBulat.

you have to run the kxploit patcher before you run the M33Creator-If you are currently running 1.50 then place the folders (kxploit & kxploit%)along with the M33creator folders which have the renamed updates (1.50.PBP & 3.52.PBP)inside-into the ms0:/PSP/GAME folder

Then go ahead and run the kxploit patcher first, once patched, you can start the M33 creator..

Hi dEEz_nUtz,

Ok, I am starting from the beginning. I have System Software: 3.03 OE-A. PSP connected as drive J:
I am taking following steps:
1) Format MS. Get the following tree structure:
Quote:

[\]
├─MP_ROOT
│ ├─100MNV01
│ └─101ANV01
├─MUSIC
├─PICTURE
├─PSP
│ ├─COMMON
│ ├─GAME
│ ├─SAVEDATA
│ └─SYSTEM
└─VIDEO

2) Copy files to J:\PSP\GAME\ Get the following tree structure:
Quote:

\
├─MP_ROOT
│ ├─100MNV01
│ └─101ANV01
├─MUSIC
├─PICTURE
├─PSP
│ ├─COMMON
│ ├[GAME]
│ │ ├─kxploitpatcher
│ │ ├─kxploitpatcher%
│ │ └─M33CREATOR
│ ├─SAVEDATA
│ └─SYSTEM
└─VIDEO

Where all files (150.pbp, 352.pbp and eboot.pbp) located in J:\PSP\GAME\M33CREATOR and eboot.pbp located in corresponded kxploitpatcher and kxploitpatcher% folders
3) Reboot PSP
4)Run Game>Memry Stick> "KXploit Permanent Patcher" (the next one shows as "Corrupted data")
5) Get an error:
Quote:
"The game could not be started. (8002014C)"

4) Run 3.52 M33 CREATOR from the memorystick menu.
5) Get
Quote:
"The game could not be started. (80020148)" error.

6) Insert UMD and repeat from the step 3
7) Get the same result

Could somebody help me or I am stuck forever?

Sincerely,
JSBulat.

I see you are already running custom firmware-I thought you were updating from 1.50-My apologies-I would then try creating a new folder called GAME150 within the PSP folder like so: ms0:/PSP/GAME150-and then put your folders inside the GAME150 folder and try running the kxploit patch and M33 creator again.

I am not familiar with 3.03OE-A having never used it myself...Is there a recovery mode where you can change the configurations and whatnot? I thought all the custom firmwares had them...To access recovery-first power down your psp completely (hold power switch up for about 5 seconds until the psp shuts down) then while powering back up, hold down the R trigger button at the same time..Your psp should boot to a blue screen that shows a menu..If the above suggestion doesnt work after creating the GAME150 folder, then I think you may have to change your homebrew kernel to 1.50 via the configuration sub-menu. Give it a shot...

Hi guys,

Thanks a lot! I'm finally did it!
larrylje: I followed your guide step by step, but instead of putting M33Creator into GAME folder I've created GAME150 folder (Thanks to dEEz_nUtz) and everything went flawlessly from this point.
Once again, thank you for your help!

So, either I'm entirely retarded, or you guys are speaking gibberish. After I extract, I don't get those files. I get those files BEFORE I extract. And, where do I put those files? It says to run the installer. How exactly do I do all that's described? I appreciate this guide, but IT IS NOT the most perfect. Can somebody please hlep me? I have spent a week trying to do this, and it's killing. And I downgraded my PSP a year back, but updated, and am RARING to downgrade again. It's killing me. Someone please help.

Hey guys. . . can someone tell me what they would do with this issue. . . .I have posted this in another forum on the site also - sorry.
I had my ta-082 psp running 2.71 and easily playing homebrew req up to FW 3.03 with Devhook and HEND. My lame brother put Killzone in the drive and updated the FW to 2.8 so he could play it.

What would you do? I have been off the forums for a while. Things change so quickly that I thought I would ask what the most current solution would be. What should I do from here? Thanks in advance.

You can use the pandora battery and memory stick to downgrade it to 1.5 and go to a higher CFW so you can play your other games.

psplife: Ceramic White 2.71 TA-082> 1.5> 3.03OE-C> installed custom themes> semibricked on the 3rd try> 1.5> 3.30OE-A> 3.10OE-A'> 3.03OE-C> 3.40 OE-A> 3.52 M33 > 3.52 M33 update 4 > 3.71M33 > 3.71M33-3
